Had my first big meltdown in a while today. Everything has been so much for so long, and the wind this morning pushed me over the edge.
Now, I'm just trying to take my own advice...
Going to try to rest, now. Take some painkillers to deal with where I hurt myself, and for the muscle tension pain.
Then, I will try to eat something.
And the whole time I'm doing that, I'm going to TRY to be compassionate to myself about this. Which is damn hard, but important.
I have this scar on my forehead that I got when I was 18, and now whenever anyone asks about it, I have to explain that I flailed myself dramatically off of an ottoman and directly into the corner of a wall while having a meltdown. I Have flailed myself dramatically many times in that room in the past, but mom remodeled it, and I wasn’t aware of the danger. The worst part is, I barely even registered the pain or the fact that I was bleeding profusely and just kept on screaming about what I was screaming about beforehand. I’m glad I’m not 18 anymore.

For autistic kids, what looks like a tantrum could actually be a meltdown, a completely different experience with different needs. Understanding the difference isn’t just helpful, it’s essential for empathy, support, and better parenting. Why the Difference Matters Imagine this: You’re in a crowded mall, lights…
Continued interruption to my usual programming
I had a sook to a friend then a cry now I’m tired.
I want a cuddle, a smoke, a snack and a nap.

I actually successfully staved off a meltdown today.
I more than earned these freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
The adhd, anxiety, autism, ocd and hypersensitivity disorder all hit at once.
I spent an hour trying an failing to concentrate on hw with growing anxiety.
Now im exhausted from a meltdown, sleepy from my meds, and have scratches and hives on my arms.
Yaaaaay, i fucking love being disabled /s
