No matter how angry I am, I don't ever say "authoritarian 'communism' sounds pretty good right now."
This is because I see it for the bullshit it is. I know my interests aren't those of the ruling class, and this doesn't change because you call it communism. What does change under Marxism-Leninism? The proletariat gets even less of a chance at fighting back. That's it. And oh yeah, you get some public executions of the old ruling class, which are viscerally exciting, but then you're in a worse position than before. You can't strike, you can't fight back, and to fight back against your new masters is counterrevolutionary, and you get to be gaslit by the new ruling class about how your efforts to get their boot off your neck are inherently fascist. It's not communism, it's not socialism; it's hardcore union-busting and the crushing of all hope for real communism.
Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe if you call it “collectivization”, that makes it so. Maybe if you call it “worker-owned” even though a state central bureaucracy has all the power, that makes it so. Maybe if you call it “socialist” even though a class of wealthy people is exploiting a powerless proletariat, that makes it so. And maybe calling America a “free country” makes it so, and maybe saying “everyone has an equal opportunity” makes it so. Or maybe that's a bunch of bullshit and exactly the sort of thing that real radicals have always fought against.
ok so, are we gonna overthrow the government or are we still gonna keep letting people die because r*pists like watching it happen?
The raw fact is authcoms and ancoms (using the broadest definitions) really are not that far apart at all in theory, in endgoal, and in revolutionary ideas and current action against the system. The main divider tbh is us all circling jerking over extremely specific details and aesthetics, holding up certain writers, thinkers, and political philosophers, and blatantly refusing to get over our own collective egos. I’m just as guilty of this as any other.
Can we all just shut up, sit down and agree that 1. The system is evil and must be torn apart
2. The ultimate endgoal is a stateless classless society stripped of its bigotries, where every individuals needs are met, where everyone has input into the community, where the community is taken care of, where our right to *live* and *exist* are not on a teetering edgebut rather a firm foundation.
3. There is no perfect historical examples, and that’s FINE, we striving for a better future not to repeat the past.
Seriously if you simplify the terminology “dialectal materialism” is literally the EXACT same thing as radical praxis based on material reality. It’s. The same. Thing. Both are saying each community, each location, each era will face different challenges and arise with a different context and we shouldn’t expect a one size fits all theory to work. That’s literally all they mean. It’s the same damn thing.
Solidarity. Squabbling amoungst ourselves is counterproductive in the face of capitalism and the ways it expresses itself.
Leftist authoritarianism
Is no more acceptable than rightwing authoritarianism.

liberals and authcoms both have this enduring need for an army that, aside from all the other things they want that I balk from, eliminates the possibility of "unity"
you can't be calling for people to join an army and then imagine I'll think you're up to benevolence, you're planning on fixing things, you're going to free us -
that's such a lie! I don't get with the "you probably don't understand" notion either though I'll deploy it as a dig, I don't believe that. I think you do understand, consciously, that you have to trick people with emotionalism and mob fervor into sacrificing themselves to your doomsday horde.
getting people in your army is on the list of The most reprehensible atrocities.
I appreciate @kropotkhristian making an explicit statement against authcoms. There are way too many anarchist blogs on here who are willing to suck up to tankies. These folks will never be your comrades. If you are an anarchist, and authoritarian communists hijack the revolution, they will kill you. They have killed anarchists in the past, and if allowed they will do it again.
Anyone on Tumblr who tells you "read more Mao"
Has got to either be stupid as fuck or completely untrustworthy.
