we've been wearing our hidden disabilities lanyard + pins out in public with our mental health team and it's going well.
Intentionally or not, Anya seems obviously autistic to me. In canon her social clumsiness is explained by her being “newly human”, but like others have pointed out, that would only stop her from catching up for so long. Instead, she stays blunt and outspoken, still needs help in social situations and doesn’t always emote much (or “appropriately”). As an autistic person, it’s very easy for me to love and understand her character.
Thought I would make a post showing all my current and new stim items I got
And also my pusheen bag which I added badges and keychains on of some of my special interests (mainly weeb stuff lol)
I feel happy to myself for having this bag and also this necklace thing my mum got me from an event cause my alien one broke a bit from my chewing it too much the chewing on this is a lot harder compared to the other one
Anyway all I know is I'm all ready to stim away ^-^
SUPRISE! I am actually ice cream and need to be frozen. Is it's the first day of #autismawareness month and I'm always a little unsure of what to say. I found this picture of my in a convenience store freeze from, like 5 years ago. I had a laugh cuase this is so like the images of children "trapped" behind the glass window of autism. Ironically by being more visibly #austitic I have become more free and have been able to enjoy life in so many ways. I have become more vibrant and self aware because I have a language to communicate to others my subjective reality. If anything the understanding of austism has set me free from the cooler of neurotypical prison and I am all the more vibrant for it. So yeah...#actullyautistic and proud of it!

I can stop thinking about the fact that hum stimm is not natural for me but in the way of weird purr the abused omega does in fanfiction
flash back to that one time I walked into homeroom and saw my teacher wearing a autism shirt (his sister is austitic and it was autism awareness month) and it had a puzzle piece (im not autistic but I think thats bad)
Am I the only one who feel like sometime I'm more a feral thing and less a human ?
I mean let me rub my face for comfort , bite for play and growl It's my way to communicate
