I've decided; Pekka's my favourite.
Currently working on a dialogue doc for the racing squad kids, and it's so interesting seeing all the different kids and their relationships evolve over the time spent together.
Attah is the cool-headed leader who looks out for everyone. Josekk is a sarcastic jokester, but he also likes to play Strike. Wikkoh is serious and observant, and is still picking out his perfect set of Strike pieces. Haxx has the himbo/ golden retriever energy about him, but he's very insightful, and he's always the one scouting new track locations on his own. Elottak is very introspective, always wanting to do better. Pekka is a fearless and brash with a big imagination, and always ribbing the others in good fun.
There's so much hidden in their ambient dialogue that could be easily missed but provides so much depth to these characters that I didn't feel as strongly with other NPCs.
Attah looked back at him, a curiosity all too similar to his partner’s gleaming in her keen eyes. “Who is she to you?” His automatic answer froze on his tongue before it could be freed. My partner. It was true… even if he knew she would deny it. They had fought together, spilled blood and tore victory from the teeth of their enemies together. She had joined his fight when he found himself in need of another blade beside his, but that was far from everything. When their prey had dwindled, forced silent and still by their own feats, the demons inside of him had clawed to get out. They scraped and stabbed their way through his body and mind, until he was as clouded as the red sands had been so many years before. Choked in blood and so alone...
