LESLIE ODOM JR. IN ABBOTT ELEMENTARY????
A British Columbia think tank is asking the Conservatives to either stop running their new anti-carbon tax ad or remove the reference to Clean Energy Canada's research.
Dan Woynillowicz, policy director for Clean Energy Canada, says Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer's new ad misrepresents research done by the Simon Fraser University think tank.
"The information in the ad needs to be corrected, or it needs to be removed from circulation," said Woynillowicz.
This is a very strange attack ad by Ted Cruz*. It kind of makes me like Beto O’Rourke even more???

Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego has consistently said that he opposes allowing anyone other than United States citizens to vote in Arizona and in federal elections. But in a campaign ad attacking him, Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake misleadingly claims that the congressman “supports … allowing illegals to vote.”
Other than citing a bill name and number in small font, the ad does not make clear that Lake’s claim is based on Gallego’s February 2023 vote against a joint resolution that would have stopped Washington, D.C., from enacting a law that gives eligible noncitizens — regardless of their immigration status — the right to vote in that city’s local elections for positions such as mayor and councilmember.
However, the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act, which later became D.C. law, does not allow the city’s noncitizen residents to vote in federal elections, which is prohibited under federal law.
“Washington, D.C. is not Arizona, and I do not believe Congress should be in the business of telling the residents of Washington, D.C. how to hold their democratic elections,” Gallego said in a statement at the time of his vote in 2023.
The attack ad could lead viewers to wrongly believe that Gallego supported letting people without legal status vote in federal, state and local elections in Arizona.
Colour me not at all surprised
During the 2019 election Johnson and his army of winged monkeys in the press posted attack ad after attack ad about Jeremy Corbyn.
And the BBC said nothing. And Sky News said nothing. And the press said nothing.
No one said they were uncalled for. No one said they were below the belt. No one said they were "disgusting" or "appalling"
The entire establishment just let them be posted. Ad after ad after ad.
But now that Labour is posting attack ads -- going after the political right and the Tory party -- the entire establishment is up in arms?
It's really not that surprising.
Once again the entire establishment is lining up to ensure the political right is able to do what they see fit, and the political left is beaten down into submission.
My attack add concept. (us politics)
We see images of ordinary people working long hours at pretty tough jobs. Service jobs, fast food.
In a voice that sounds a little like Mitch McConnell: "Listen, son. You get it. All these people are out here getting worked up about a scandal."
The same people dealing with bills, their children.
V. O. continues: "Worked up about what someone, who just isn't on their level is doing."
The same people watching the news, looking skeptical. Discussing issues with each other.
V. O. continues: "These are the very people who need a firm hand in their lives. Guidance.
The good sense to know your place."
The people make eye contact with the camera. Almost like they have overheard the voice over.
They are dignified and disappointed.
V. O. continues: "They can't really expect [laughs] that'd we'd live by the same rules? [chuckles more]"
The screen goes to black and the laughter continues.
