New Patch for Breach Released Today, More Demo Time Added
Atomic Games announced a new update today for Breach on the Xbox Live Arcade. This update can be downloaded by simply starting the game.
This update will include these fixes:
All known crashes fixed
Many fixes to reduce lag
Online game performance improved by more than 33%
Bug that caused Sole Survivor games to end in draw fixed
Bug that caused invisible canister in Retrieval games fixed
Bug that caused Vendetta icon to appear incorrectly fixed
Server Browser can now sort by number of players
Server Browser can now be manipulated with mouse scroll wheel
Fixed bugs related to Friendly Fire settings
Better ability for a game with lag to recover when bandwidth improves
You also get one hour of free gameplay with Breach. All demo clocks have been reset for players so they can master the game's unique Active Cover and Destruction capabilities.

Breach For The 360 Gets Much Needed Update
Breach was one of those games that I knew I was going to buy day one. From the time I played it at PAX East 2011 I was excited to play the game, but when I downloaded it I was disappointed the game as it was plagued with problems. But my disappointment with the game has turned back into excitement as Atomic Games has patched the Xbox 360 version of the game and has sweetened the pot for those of you that still haven't purchased the game through XBL. First here is what has been patched:
Fixes included in this update: - All known crashes fixed - Many fixes to reduce lag - Online game performance improved by more than 33% - Bug that caused Sole Survivor games to end in draw fixed - Bug that caused invisible canister in Retrieval games fixed - Bug that caused Vendetta icon to appear incorrectly fixed - Server Browser can now sort by number of players - Server Browser can now be manipulated with mouse scroll wheel - Fixed bugs related to Friendly Fire settings - Better ability for a game with lag to recover when bandwidth improves
Now here is a little something for those that have not purchased the game as of yet:
Breach now offers a full 60 minutes of playing time for free, and all demo clocks have been reset so all players can master the game's unique Active Cover and Destruction capabilities. This is one hour of destruction in convoy, sole-survivor, hardcore and any of the modes on any of the maps. Improving the game even further, this update reduces lag significantly.
So go give it a shot, as Breach has a lot of potential to be a great multiplayer game at a low cost. I can't wait to dive back into it Breach myself to checkout all the fixes.
