Your post about David’s hunger for knowledge reminds me of how in Bardugo’s other series, Darlington’s sin is greed (for knowledge). I didn’t really think much of this when reading her Alex Stern but this being reoccurring is interesting.
You know what? I'm not even surprised.
Bardugo seems to have all kinds of "interesting" worldviews, mostly internalized. Among other things, she likes to get all high and mighty about things she clearly lacks the capacity to understand. Like science. Or politics. Or oppression.
So yeah, why wouldn't greeeeeeeed for knowledge be THE sin of another Darkling ripoff? The original had this deficiency too after all.
