Do you have resources for people who are wondering whether they're autistic?
One thing I see a lot of in autism spaces is people coming in and asking, "Could I be autistic?" And I want to help them.
So I started the Autism Living Wiki article "Tips on finding out whether you're autistic." It includes links to resources I found. But it could use more.
What articles, blog posts, article collections, or other things do you like to recommend to people who are wondering about potential autism? Please share them with me! I want to read them and make this article more well-researched. More beautiful. More filled with citations.
So, what are your favorite resources for people who are wondering if they're autistic? Please drop links in the replies! I'd love to see them!
Asking Autistic / neurodivergent community: Does mindfulness help you? If not,can you explain why?Mindfulness doesn't help me but be interesting to hear from others.
Has anyone ever had a meltdown in a dream before?
I had some really bad dreams last night, which isn’t that unusual for me (C-PTSD), but at the end of them I had what felt like a meltdown in the dream and then it carried over into me waking up. My meltdowns are usually very contained (crying, bunching up, etc), but this was very different and more intense (?) screaming and throwing my arms and hitting my head…
I’m just wondering if anyone else has ever had something like this happen
is it an autistic experience to ALWAYS be the one in a friend group who gets left out, alienated, secretly disliked, then kicked out of the group?

hey gang how normal is it to, like,,, not talk? like, not have the energy to talk? I am physically capable of speaking, but the thought is kinda exhausting??? I'm usually a fine talker, fully verbal and speaking, but talking is taking so much energy right now. this has happened a few times before, and I'm trying to figure out if its the autism (I've never gone fully non-speaking) or something else

Question for other autistic people: There are still so many misconceptions and stigma surrounding autism. What’s one misconception about autism that you wish people would stop perpetuating or believing in?
