???, Cairo and Nyx finally arrive at Moonrise falls, with the Lucario holding the still unconscious Gemini. The shadowy Umbreon led the two down the cliffside and behind the waterfall, where a homely cave was settled at the foot of the waterfall it lurked behind.

He then gave a small nod. “Just set her down there on the nest gently, Cairo. There should still be some items in the storage...”, he murmured. “Also, you two are more than welcome to stay for a while longer, but I understand if your travels must carry you elsewhere. Again, I am very grateful for your help thus far, I could not have managed to bring her back here by myself currently.”

The Umbreon… Something about her spoke to his core, a strange look crossing his features as his gaze narrowed upon her, a small frown forming. Divine, powerful. It hummed, fading away before he could zero in on the sensation.

But her words. They did spark amusement in his frozen heart. For she couldn’t have been… all the more wrong. A smile transformed his features, splitting across his lips. Unnatural, inhumane, filled with cunning as he lowered his captive to eye level.

“How I would have loved witnessing her being offered as homage to me. I am still revelled as a necessary so called evil upon this world but alas I can strike one of your ideas from your mind, Overseer.” He made a show of caressing the Lopunny’s cheeks, his eyes containing possession, his smile spreading further… until it was no longer one. A mere display of sharp fangs.

Then it vanished, his lips a thin line as he stared unnervingly at the Umbreon. “You know what they say about keeping those who liven the ennui of age.”

“I-if not, that’s okay, I-I’ll just go find some ingredients to make her a medical paste and tea to help her recover quicker... I-I won’t pressure you, nene; after all this is short notice. Anything to help my friend would be a blessing, and I’ll pay you back however I can.”
