Well, I have had Gemini as a character since.. late 2017 I believe? So she already had a bit of a story, but it wasnāt until I had found a shiny HA female Eevee in Alpha Sapphire while looking for a non-shiny Modest HA Eevee to train as a Sylveon that I had gotten inspired to give dear Gemi a bit of an update.
Once I had done that, welll... letās just say I had a spontaneous urge to get back to askblogging and the rest is history!

Hello everyone, mun here-- Or I guess I should say Vap here. I sincerely apologize for the mostly radio silence again aside from sending out asks/etc. Life.. lifeās been a hefty roller coaster. 2019 was a rough year, as Iām sure some of you are aware. And 2020 was no different. My motivationās been all over the place, majorly due to irl events, but also because of more distracting things on the internet that I found a bit easier to do than askblogging.
(Under a read more since long post and in case anyone doesnāt want to blindly walk into heartbreaking topics, you have been warned.)
Though to sum things up in terms of irl events, April 2019, I put my dog down, a couple of weeks after that I lost my maternal grandmother in May. Then a few months after that in July I lost my maternal grandfather. Then some things kind of turned into a rollercoaster over the course of time in between regarding things that I wonāt say. But late 2019, my great-grandmother--or Gigi as I had always called her-- started having problems. One thing led to another and she spent the last bit of 2019 and most of early 2020 recovering from a procedure, with me trying to help take care of her the best that I could. Things kind of stayed at a stalemate, before in August of 2020 we finally had something be able to be done again and for a while, she was doing a lot better. But then.. after her birthday in September, she started getting worse again. It really started picking up in October, and honestly, it started to get to the point where my nerves couldnāt handle it, despite my best efforts to make sure she was okay, with my paternal grandfatherās help(since he was her son, and he had been helping out here and there too, even doing the more heavy physical stuff that I myself would not of been able to do), and then in early November.. I seriously needed a break. My nerves were shot. I was scared, and I was stressed. I did not know how to handle it. So.. we arranged for me to go up to TN to my momās, while Gigi went to stay with Pop-pop and his wife, since her only son, along with Lollie, wouldāve been able to handle things better than a 24-year-old with problems of her own could have. But... not even a week after I got up to my momās... On November 19, my dearly beloved Gigi finally let go and went home in her sleep. She knew that Iād be okay and taken care of at my motherās, she didnāt have to worry about me anymore.
Needless to say.. despite how-- well Iāve taken it, it doesnāt change the fact that it hit really hard. Iām okay, but it still hurts. I still miss her. But I am hanging in there, so donāt worry.
So.. with that recap done, I am trying to get some stuff worked on. This blog is not yet dead and I am going to try. Though youāll have to forgive me if there are pauses again. Iām still adjusting, so I canāt get as much stuff done that Iād like to get done as I used to be able to. Partly because of helping around the house, and also partly because of my motivation and distractedness.Ā
