Sunlight and Moonlight
The body falls lifelessly to the ground, a pair of multi-colored eyes look in bewilderment at the just-alive follower, the hand remains hanging in the air where the Cat touched the unfortunate mouse's shoulder.
-Uh.... So what do we do now?
-Wha-? What did you do? Did he die?
The fox said this sarcastically, literally standing in a pool of blood flowing under the mouse's corpse.
-He should've watched his tongue! I'm his cult leader after all!
A whisper broke out among the spectators gathered behind the shrine. They exchanged glances and gazed at the body in horror.
-Drop the body and grab a shovel. It's diggin time!
Smirking, the Fox held out second shovel to the Cat.
-Maybe we can just eat him? We run low on food supplies anyway.
It was obvious from his voice that feline instincts were the main reason for such a proposal.
-Stupid fox....
Moonlight muttered, throwing the shovel over his shoulder. The earth fell with a dull thud into the already formed pile behind him. He stood chest-deep in the earth, digging a grave.
-Come on, don't shirk, idiot.
