I always like to think what could be ironically Kinky for Medic is him probably encouraging anyone he's fighting with to stab him or even TRY to hurt him. Go on, do your hardest. But I'm quite torn if its from a place of masochism and moreso him just being so sure of himself that he can withstand whatever blow they throw BUT fine maybe 50 percent of it is him liking the pain!!!

I think it's moreso the thrill he gets when the utter agony of a stab wound comes and he's still alive, and the excitement that comes right after because he can be ten times worse to you now. I can totally see him egging Ilian on. So I suppose that's how Medic would be kinky? Can't say!!! Maybe in the future when he has an actual romantic interest. But as far as things go for him and Ilian, it's moreso the thrill of the hunt and fight. He'd just want to see the little thief try because he'd love to watch him fail.

THE LINES ARENT FROM ME BTW it comes from a series but goshhh I love it!!! There's something haunting to be told by you're captor or well opponent that they'll let you this chance to kill them, but if you fail, they'll do something much horrible to you.

Medic strikes me as the kind of person that when you do stab him, you can see him flinch before letting out a breath, then laughing. Like you can see the rush reach his eyes with how they all narrow even more at you. When you stumble away, it's him that'll willingly take the knife out and chuckle when he can feel his side bleed. But that's alright, hardly a scratch.

Oh gosh maybe he is a freak </3 ID LIKE TO REMIND YOU he's not being sexual and he's GEN like this </3 I'd have to think over if he'd genuinely,, get aroused by something like this? But I compare it to the rush Yumeko Jabami gets yk?

I always did imagine when Medic got recruited and rerolled by Jestyn that he was dumped to any Healer puppet's hands to be taught the ropes.

While I don't think Jestyn would straight up have Hale be Medic's mentor of the day, since I feel even Jestyn would recognize Hale is too softhearted and Medic would be too intense for someone like him, the possibility of it happening is funny. But ultimately someone more level headed and with thicker skin would be teaching Medic.

Would Medic need any training? Somewhat! I always feel like he had an idea or two on medical work, considering the nature of his former role - It's just that this time his new role's ... harder. Instead of killing someone, he has to keep them alive. And that's more tricky. Now all his knowledge of knowing which tendon or muscle to rip and tear is dedicated to making sure those tendon and muscles keep in tact.

Don't get him wrong! Believe it or not, despite the taunting, chase and torment - Medic is good at his job. When he's had his fun poking at a puppet, he'll do his part in inspecting them and studying for injuries, documenting for abnormalities, and do what he needs to patch you back up before shoving you out the door. Reminder the Medic will only ever handle a puppet when they themselves refuse or don't visit the healers monthly.

I think ironically basing from Starry's post, Hale being scared of Medic when arguably, Hale is taller than Medic is funny GIGGLES not that the height would help, I fear Medic would still have the upper hand against the healer nonetheless. But I find it funny in the sense I feel like Hale treats the Medic like a live bomb and walks egg shells around him when HE has to teach him how to treat a puppet or something.

This reminds me of possibly asking starry what would be Hale's thoughts on Medic in depth but with what we have, Hale shouldn't have to worry too much about Medic. Despite being now part of the medical faction of the theatre, Medic doesn't visit nor hang with the other healers too much. So chance meetings between him and the healer are few and far between.

Though they do make me giggle since they remind me of a good cop and bad cop - or in this scenario, Good Doctor and Bad nurse. I'm surprised we don't have a nurse puppet yet hums,,

But at the end of the day, Medic keeps the little fawn at arms length like anyone else. He finds no reason to mingle with him anyhow, if it isn't work related, Medic's leaving to do his own thing, so for any interactions, It'd have to be done from Hale's part to seek Medic out. But possibilities of Medic reaching to Hale out are still possible too, I'm thinking it's when he needs a restock on a certain material or he has questions.

I think Medic regards with Hale with a sort of predatory acknowledgement, since he tends to have a bad habit of sizing other puppets when he meets them. It'd be too easily for him to clock Hale as anything but a threat and would see him for what he is, a scared, little, doe. Giggling again when Im reminded of their height difference so it's like a Big dog being scared of a smaller cat.

Medic sort of functions on a one line, one goal mentality where he hyperfocuses on one thing. Before it used to be his dirty work as a bounty hunter, which led to him sort of working hard in being efficient at his job. This meant he had a lot of hobbies regarding weapon collections, sparring, a lot of physical stuff to make him better at well - hurting others!

But now as a Medic, I feel like he'd begin to get curious and hyperfocus on physiological aspects of his work and learning about the anatomy of other puppets.

It'd always interest him how different they all function, and makes him curious what's beneath their puppet shells. I can DEFINITELY See him doing experiments on himself with this regard, since the interest would stem from his own body like his face. I can't say what happened but ever since his little wound, he's become more curious of his own body.

So if a question comes that he can't answer - he's going straight to Hale. Which can lead to scenarios where idk he'd cut himself open and then run to Hale asking, what is this, how does that work? Why'd that happen? If he feels even more bolder and I assume closer to Hale, removes the bandages from his face and body and ask what is UP with him???

I can also see this as a good way for Hale to try to get closer to Medic if he wishes, it'd be one of those very rare opportunities where Medic isn't exactly in a trigger happy mood because his curiosity is coming first.

Admittedly I was gonna do something entirely different, since I know a lot of tiktok audios that remind me of Hale and Medic and that's what I wanted to do, but then when I tried drawing I realized the pose required,, grumbles, effort since it needed its perspective perfected. So I quit that and left it for another day and made this </3

I'd love to go further in depth with their dynamic and Medic's thoughts! But do know this is subject to change when we get more information on Starry's part!

More ramble part but GIGGLES I love how giddy Medic looks, how terrified Farmin is and how horrified Hale reacted. SIGHH good job cephy HEH!! Another good draw!!!! GIGGLES Medic looks so full of shit, "Oh ur back <3333 look what I did!!! Not bad for a first time right?" SMH!!!

No, you did them perfectly, actually!

Although I usually imagine his eyes as relaxed, hooded, and carrying a visible sense of apathy or disinterest, they can become just as sharp as you drew them.

He can go from looking completely detached and unbodered to fixing someone with a piercing gaze that feels like it's scrutinizing every part of their being. It usually happens when someone really gets under his skin or when he's confronted with someone he already despises.

For just a brief moment, that detached indifference slips away, revealing the bitterness simmering underneath. The snark is still there, but it's overshadowed by something much harsher; a cold resentment that shines through his eyes before his expression settles back into its usual apathetic calm.

Yess!! You got it!! Light and Kira are a quite accurate reference of comparison for them, especially in that aspect!

Again, love the contrast of sharpness/roundess between them, you can even see it in the hair! Literally perfect, bravo!

I actually wanted to reblog your reblog earlier since you mentioned some really good observation points there about Ilian, so I'm gonna touch up on those here too!

Okay, I kind of had a general idea that although Helio would have a way better reputation and life than Ilian, still, there would be some downsides of his position.

I mentioned before that in my interpretation Crownus did not like when someone took his spotlight, especially someone with a secondary role like Ilian

But I feel like he would also sort of have a grudge towards the other, more important puppets that gain too much popularity.

So, what if Helio was occasionally held back on purpose?

What if his appearances on stage were carefully restricted or controlled whenever he started attracting too much attention?

He would still receive far more meaningful roles than Ilian ever did. He'd have genuine fans among the human audience, meaningful friendships with other puppets, and a respected place within the theatre.

Yet I can imagine him always wondering why he could never seem to go... further.

Why did it always feel like there was an invisible ceiling above him?

Perhaps every time he tried to negotiate for a larger role or more stage time, he'd somehow be persuaded to let it go. Not through force, but through subtle manipulation. I imagine one of Helio's greatest strengths as a performer would be his spontaneity. He'd naturally improvise, add little flourishes to his performances, and make every show feel just a little different. The audience would absolutely adore that about him.

But Crownus wouldn't.

So, little by little, Helio might be encouraged to stick more strictly to the script. To stop improvising. To become more predictable. More polished. More controllable.

Without even realizing it, he'd slowly lose the spark that made him so beloved in the first place, and with it, some of his popularity.

Idk why but I keep thinking about Prieston somehow being involved here as he'd be a sort of right hand of Crownus.. or not like a right hand but the shadow of the Crown, you know?

But anyway

I feel like Helio would indeed be more of a brighter soul. Not overly bubbly. Just.. warm. Like wild honey or sunlight filtering through the tops of the trees on a quiet afternoon in the forest.

He would be kind, considerate, true hero qualities.

He would help other puppets, higher or lower roles: it does not matter. Although I do feel like he would hang out with the latter ones more often since his role wouldn't tie him directly to royalty or the aristocracy.

In fact, I don't really imagine Helio as a traditional knight.

He feels much closer to a Robin Hood-esque protagonist. Not necessarily someone who actively rebels against the nobility, but someone who belongs among ordinary people.

He would just play the role of someone from lower ranks or a young wanna-be knight that serves to help the townfolk maybe. The type of character that at the begining of the story is just a young man from a small town and then slowly gains his importance and experience as the story unfolds.

Now, coming back to the stuff you said in the other reblog. Gonna copy paste some of the parts for reference purposes:

Making screenshots now cuz I moved to my laptop now But I 100% agree. When in the game Jestyn kind of put a lot of pressure and meaning onto the roles I felt like it wasn't just a part of his act to make MC take the role of the ruler in making, but it also was meant to show that it might just be an inseperable component of the puppets/theatre's culture. And not for the reason of the theatre theme only, I think. It's only my theory, and I've mentioned it somewhere before, but I feel like these entities need roles to take upon. A theatre is just a nice, fitting environment for that.

Still, roles mean hierarchy of sorts, and like you said; your quality of life and overal conditions might depend on what role you are set with. And the more you live with it, the more ingrained it feels to you. Like with Medic and his former role of a Hunter!

And the same is with Ilian. He was a sort of villain in the making kind of situation. I wanted to mention it in a seperate post, but he wasn't always like this. This... bitter. Not trusting. This might shock you, but I feel like one of the reasons he would not like Helio is because he would remind him of his former, younger self. The one before he ran afoul of Crownus and everything went downhill. Even back then, Ilian wasn't exactly happy. He had his own insecurities and struggles, but despite that, there was still a youthful fire inside him. A spark of hope, ambition, and the desire to prove himself. Most importantly, it wasn't a fire fueled by hatred. Helio would therefore trigger the memories and feelings of his past, but double the emotional damage here since Helio's nature wasn't directly punished. Not like he was. He wasn't choked down like Ilian. He was just restricted. If that does not scream injustice and role privaledge to you, it certainly strikes at Ilian's still fresh wounds. Okay I ran out of writer fuel Uhh something something at least Helio could keep his identity, something something about how Crownus didn't just limit Ilian's opportunities but he slowly smothered the very traits that made him who he was until resentment was all that remained, basically seeing Helio as someone who had the privaledge of keeping what was taken from him and even worse; had more to his name in the beginning than Ilian ever got to have You get my point hopefully

EPISODE 9 OF TADC SPOILER HERE!! If someone did not watch yet, please look away from what I'm about to write ... ... ... I wanted to include the image here but again, don't want someone to be surprised to see a spoiler. I know the episode is out there already but yeah You know that one scene that happened when Pomni explored the abstracted mind of Jax and he pounced on her and started choking her with that eerie look on his face? ...Yeah, so that's what could happen at worst if these two met when Ilian became Ilian. I haven't properly showed that yet but... although most puppets are not aware of how much of a threat Ilian can be since they don't know how deep his bitterness and grudge runs and they mostly know him as The Thief, one of lesser puppets, you gotta understand that he is... way more dangerous and agressive that he might let on.
