About my question:

1. Can they feel physical pain? Because, considering their puppet bodies, they only have joints and no spine or blood vessels to feel pain.

2. Does their place have a garden? Because I see that farmers really enjoy planting trees, and I wonder where he keeps them.

I'm still mapping out his lore for this AU, but here are the basics (so I don't freaking forget🥹).

1. He is a third gen Slavic immigrant. Which usually means pretty much local; but considering how prominent his Nan was in the family, he inherited a lot from her culture wise. At home they spoke his native language, and he is still fluent.

2. A chainsmoker. At around 17 forgot a cigarette tucked behind his ear and showed up at home. Once confronted, denied smoking fiercely until presented with evidence.

3. Stemming from latter — habitually forgets lighters in his backpockets and sits on them like a dumdum he is.

I literally have nothing to go off with this one but I found Medic's expression funny with how he said 'Kinky' and wondered, what could possibly be kinky to look at??? Then it sort of downspiralled to me thinking of this scene in my head of Ilian holding a very sharp weapon and Medic going kinky!!! Perfect for the bedroom!!! IN A LH WAY for all I know Medic probably wants to play the knife game with Ilian

Because sadly Medic's libido and interest in anything sexual won't be activated until a lot of other things happen first but gosh I always wanted to play with the potential tension between Medic and Ilian. And then something like this came to my mind with this pose from Pinterest, and here we are!!!

I always headcannoned that Medic likes when his prey patients fight back/give him a hard time. Like, he loooves the thrill of the chase. It's fine when he catches them, but when they give him a sort of challenge or spice things up by fighting back? Now THAT'S thrilling! Because it gives him every right to finally use more than 10% of his hunter skills. And ooh boy would Ilian give him a hard time. Like I've mentioned before somewhere; Ilian might be shorter than most puppets, but he has few tricks up his sleeve and when push comes to shove, he's more than ready to show why he hasn't got captured by the guards yet. Ilian is quite swift, and even if his strenght isn't comparable to Jestyn's or idk Knighter's, he is still fairly strong. Especially his grip. Where he lacks strength, he compensates with his own special ability. Which would probably be the main thing that'd drive Medic nuts and the reason he would have a hard time catching Ilian (you'll see him using it in the comic soon). I also find it funny that you chose to give him a knife/some blade bc that's close to what he'd use as a weapon. I imagined that he somehow maybe was able to steal one from Medic's side pouch lol. I am still thinking of designing some weapon for him, but it'd probably a dagger/knife of sorts. Small but swift and handy. Still, for... softer tissues, he prefers to use his hands. You'll also see it in my comic ^^ Basically gonna post it soon after I finish this reblog (ngl so excited bc you'll probably understand why I doodled Medic like that x'D) I looove the idea of Medic lowkey getting "excited" due to pain infliction or like knife play or anything like that. I mean, very accurate if you ask me. This man plays doctor on himself and is very curious of what's underneath his and other puppets' vessels. I can only imagine the thrill of his when he gets a sort of excuse to "examine" other puppet wounds he inflicated or even the ones he got himself during the fights and hunts. I can totally think of a scenario where he finally got the puppet he was hunting and, when they are strapped to his medical chair, he looks at the wounds he got on them proudly. Or like, points at his forearm where HE got scratched/wounded like: "Boy, you got me pretty good there! It was only fair that I paid with the same :)" as the puppet looks pretty beaten up/heaving/etc compared to him.

Of course, he'll heal them. With some more teasing and scaring first. Okay I cannot stop looking at the art and Medic's grin oh my god Anon, ily/plat, thank you for this scrumptious art, I am eating this up

Had to speedrun this as fast as I could when I got a flash of inspiration from my lovely starry's post because truthfully I've always DID wanted to throw Medic at Hale out of curiousitys sake, I just - didn't get the time or opportunity to bring it up or ask </3 But nonetheless here we are GIGGLES!!

I remember when I freshly made Medic I immediately thought of Hale's reaction and interaction with him and had THIS image in mind. Medic would enjoy giving the little healer grey hairs since HE cares about the patient, medic doesn't. And that's a lot of trouble for Poor Farmer. Or Farmin as we know!!

But I also had thoughts of Vigil getting involved,,, because I'm being so real, Medic and Vigil would not fucking VIBE. Vigil was definitely someone on Medic's former hit lists that god forbid, he hasn't killed just yet. Any puppet that went past Medic's attempts is someone he still wants to kill. Again, one line, one goal. It's like unfinished business stuff!!

So I had this idea in mind of Vigil hanging in Hale's room, Hale in said room w him - who knows theyre friends shrugs and Medic is slowly approaching Hale's door and his hand stops at the doorknob. Vigil freezes too, his gaze meeting the wooden door and IDK MEDIC BUSTS DOWN THE DOOR AND THEY BOTH START FIGHTING WHAAWHAHW

Quick Side note: THE FUCK YOU MEAN MEDIC WOULD SHOVE HALE IN A WALL!? WHY!? Hale would be terrified!

Anyway, for vigil, the medic, and Hale. I imagine it going like this:

Vigil: "you know him!?"

Hale: "I... had to train him...d-despite his...ways, putting that as nicely as possible, h-he does do his job. He's just... a little experimentive...b-believe me! I've tried to teach him differently, and I still do...he doesn't listen all that much"

Vigil: "you know him and you didn't report him!? Hale, what the fu-"

Hale, confused: "...I did?....I did report him. I wrote many reports..."

Vigil: *looks over at the medic*

It’s why I’d mention Medic lowcenuinely grabbing him by the collar and slamming him into the wall. Not only would he already be agitated by the fact one of his not so dead targets was with him, Medic would see clearly into their dynamic and understand that Hale was comfortable enough to let the little trespasser stay in his room.

Goshhh I can imagine him holding Hale by the neck, eyes sharp and pointed as a sneer makes its way into his expression while the poor healer feels like he’s getting the worst headache ever. You didn’t think to report him? To do anything at all with that outlaw piece of shit?

If Hale tries to explain or beg, or starts panicking, I can imagine a silent moment passes, and Medic lets go.

Poor little healer, it’s alright now. You weren’t thinking is all, he’d pat the healer on the back, his grin too full of sharp teeth when he turns away. He’s still not happy with Hale btw but Medic can at least know when to think straight if his anger ever gets the best of him.

Sadly because of that, I don’t imagine Vigil would visit anytime soon to Hale.

But as for the last bit, WHAHAHA REPORTING MEDIC? GOOD LUCKKKK

But thats one sure fire way to get him annoyed!!! An easy report about the medic isn’t going to do squat, healer. Its your guess or mine whether the medic ate the papers or did something much more horrible to make sure those reports never come to light but it is confirmed he wouldn’t be happy.

And he’d likely threaten the Healer because of it. And it won’t be pretty, but not too horrible. Just a shared word between puppets. One time is alright, two is crossing the line and three is enough. He’ll allow the healer off this first time but the second won’t be as pretty. And he’ll emphasize this very much.

“I could easily take your other eye if you’d really like to push your luck.”

It’s one of the former bounty hunters Hale TT reporting him isn’t going to get you anywhere. But that aside, as long as the vigil and report incident doesn’t happen — I imagine Medic and Hale to be semi-neutral co workers at least! Like i said, Medic doesnt hang with the other healers much so Hale’s on cool town!

I imagine its like late at night and Hale could be sleeping and the little shit is knocking at his door and when Hale lets him in Medic has a tray of eyeballs and is asking Hale if he ever gets curious on their species. Its obvious we’re not all the same, just look at these eyes! Where’d they come from? Idk, do you really wanna know? Yeah.

I feel like becoming Medic’s friend or coworker is hell in the sense that Medic is constantly changing from hot then cold, to sweet then pure poison. The kind of person that’ll be friendly and playful first then downright haunting and terrifying the next.

He’d say the most normal things then speak downright despicable shit like

“Once, I was summoned by the king alongside all other hunters. He was considering having you as a target.” ….. “Though I suppose he did the job himself (:”

All while Looking at Hale’s very clearly bandaged face

It’s that kind of horrible manner that feels like he’s playing with you, testing you. Being Medic’s friend is a constant fear gauntlet of keeping a straight face even when he dangles a centipede in front of you and the reward is,,, you’re not sure.

Vigil wouldn’t be happy about the developments though and would be very fussy the next time he and Hale meet. If EVER they meet again somehow. Because you DO know who that guy is right???? HALE LOOK AT ME WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? “Jestyn put him here” what a dumbass then!!!

He and Hale can be as close as they want but with Medic in the picture, Hale wont see much of him anymore. And Medic wouldn’t allow it. He and Hale could be in the infirmary or medical ward organizing storage and Medic would suddenly pipe up, rambling about how he’d kill anyone associated with that little rodent in the walls.

He sure hopes you’ve learnt your lesson Hale, rodents tend to carry diseases and you could get very sick. Then die. Or something like that! Subtle threats that tell Hale to not try shit.
