Zuko looked over at Jet who stood by the vanity getting ready for the day. He was surprisingly still in bed, undressed, as Jet was up so early that even Zuko had not yet risen with the sun. He didn't know where Jet was off to or for what or why.

Groggily, Zuko shook his head, "You know, if we're going to share a bed, it'd be nice to at least know where you're off to this early all the time," muttered Zuko, using his firebending to light the lanterns beside them.

But the real question stemmed from their argument last night — an ongoing one that was often avoided and never quite answered. "I don't know when we ever can talk about it, Jet, and if we don't, I can't really know how you feel," admitted Zuko quietly, his legs slung over his bed as he leaned his elbows against his thighs, resting his head in his hand there. His hair covered his face like a curtain as he sighed again. He was exhausted of trying to have this conversation that was like pulling teeth.
