Looking around the dreamer found herself walking forward, walking in the direction everyone seemed to be watching. It called, beckoned for her to approach. To reach out her hand and pull.

So she did. She reached out, grasping until she felt a tug on her hand. She steadied herself, feet shifting beneath her as she gripped whatever was before her with both hands and pulled.

It was a fight, a tug-of-war against some invisible mass. It felt so much larger, but she couldn’t see it through the mists that now threatened to swallow her whole.

Something else wanted whatever it was she pulled on.  

With a grumble she planted her feet again; heels digging into the ground as she put all of her weight into the fight. She wouldn’t give up!

It gave way. Like a dam opening to a flood.

She fell back into the grass; left watching in awe as magic swept away the mists surrounding her and everyone else in the field.

Light started poking through clouds in little streams until one after another, spirits started walking towards the people. Past the dreamer and towards their loved ones.

some soft melodic voice chimed in her ear

She had?

Pride and a sense of being complete filled the dreamer’s chest as she watched on in happiness. There was so much joy and celebration before her. It was beautiful.

She sat and watched for awhile, content in the glow of celebration. But before long another tug pulled at her; calling for her to come and join the waking world. To come and chase this dream, to claim it for herself.  

So she stood, humming along to some unknown melody as she walked.  

Soft voices filled the air around her. Mutterings of curiosity and excitement with words that didn’t quite find their way to her ears.

a voice different from the rest reached her, their words clear as day as they lead her towards a light.

“There she is!”

“Oh! Someone go get Niamh, she’ll be excited to hear about a noonbloom!”

“Hush now you lot, you’ll overwhelm her”

A hand reached out to her, drawing her eyes from it up to the gentle face that accompanied it

“You’re the first Thirdborn to awaken and we’re all very happy to meet you. Can you tell us your name?”

“My name?” She placed her hand in his, letting him help her to her feet
