I remember I was in grade six when I first saw the news of fake chicken egg from China on TV. I was so astonished and started asking all kinds of questions. Why is fake egg made? Is it easier to make money than real egg? Isn’t it difficult to make? Is the inventer really smart? How does fake egg taste like?... It goes on and on. I just wouldn’t stop. I was always a curious kid, so my family was used to it and just ended the conversation saying they don’t know. Unlike today that we can find answers from internet research, I had no way to find my answers, so I grew up having many questions in my mind. When I was studying master of fine art, I came across a news about vegetarian egg made in the states called Beyond egg. It was full of controversies as well, but they advocate for ingredients that are environmental friendly and healthy. Bill Gates also invested in it. This reminded me of the fake chicken egg from China, and I wondered whether its inventer was as smart and skilled as the founder of vegetarian egg. This time, I started immediately to find the answers for my questions. I was fascinated or even obsessed to know everything about egg and artificial egg. This book is the result with my take on it.
