A short animation I did back in March-april to get into the art programme!
(spoiler alert, I got in!! ≧﹏≦)
(Also I had to translate it to english in case no one understands Swedish)
The plain looking character that u see is Riley. Riley is an anxious alien who has a fear of judgement which makes presentating infront of the class about the topic he wrote very difficult.
My assignment was to animate a character facing their fears, and I chose to animate my own fear, so Riley is a little too relatable here in this video.
I tried to animate nervousness and fear very obvious by him over thinking in the beginning, sweating, fast heart beats, heavy breathing etc..
Though I did also try to keep it a little comical with him running away even though he was supposed to talk about how to stop running away from your problems so its a little ironic. And how in the end he realizes he worn his shirt backwards the whole time, so I thought the title "An embarrassing moment" would fit!
Ahhh this was my second time animating so I didn't have much experience and I was close to the deadline so I didn't have time for the background characters!!! (╯︵╰,)
(The weird thing is that weeks after I turned this in, I had to have a presentation infront of the half of my class because it matters a lot to my grade. It was my turn to talk, I went silent, teacher told every student to get out the room and started crying infront of my teachers. At the end, after a bottle of water and NUMEROUS amount of used tissues on the desk, I FINALLY started talking. I got a C.)
