Created this garb for a lovely couple for an upcoming Viking faire 🌲 The perfect late spring into summer garments as the days get warmer. Featured here on the male dress form is the Cedar Brown linen sleeveless tunic and on the female dress form is the Forest Green linen tunic and the Steel Gray wool hood. These tunics are made of medium weight, soft breathable 100% linens, and I made the pattern of this tunic to fit anyone - I just slightly adjust it to fit your measurements and body shape. I really do have the best customers and supporters. I’ve had the opportunity to create garb for the most lovely folks around the world. The trust that has been given to me as I’ve worked on a countless number of weddings and special occasion garments is enough to make my eyes constantly tear with pride and emotion. April was unforeseeably hard on my production being I had to take most of the month off between flying back home and my friend visiting, orders have piled up. Nature and life itself is all about creating. It is in our bones and blood and in the air inside us and around us. I believe it is our duty as creations ourselves to embrace this and give back to this ever evolving give and take life cycle of creation and evolution. . . Try to push aside fears of failures and simply just go out and try new things! (Something I sometimes have to remind and push myself to do) creation is NOT perfection, and we only get more skilled at things the more we try them. I encourage you all to try something new you’ve always wanted to. And of course I’d love to hear about it! My beautiful beloved soul sister Tiffany, one of my very best friends has come up to visit and spend the next 8 days with me! It has been WAY too long since I’ve last got to spend time with her and I’m so beyond excited! Tiffany has actually given me the greatest gift of all - my insanely adored kitty Stitch! She found him at 3 weeks old wandering the streets near her home and I made the 12 hour round trip to scoop him up and bring him home with me. 🖤 . . Photo from a camping trip here, little did I know at the time I’d end up moving here.↟ . . Spring is full of changing and growing and this month has certainly been full of that for me. After a couple crazy work weeks, a pretty emotional week back home, then another crazy work week of 10+ hour sewing days, I am SO in need of a week with one of the sweetest most loving, nourishing souls I am lucky to call a best friend. My spirit has been aching to get out to the mountains and be amongst the blooming forest! To marinate in all the healing energy of spring 🌱 I am so ready for a week full of waterfall forest and wild harvesting adventures, laughing until we cry, finishing each other’s sentences, cooking homemade soups with this cold front and lots of rain returning, photoshoots, and of course having a little helper around and great company as I continue to sew will be really really nice! Spent the entirety of May Day detached from the world with no service, up in the quiet forest worshipping my favorite element ~ water. Took @ynaffitt to one of my favorite places for her last day, hiked along all 10 falls. I’ve been there in the fall, winter and now spring and it was so amazing to witness the changes and now to see all the new growth the rainforest has provided us. Munching on wood sorrel, adorning ourselves with the flowers of the forest and cleansing under her mists. It was a gloomy day but the sun showed itself as it set right over one of the last waterfalls we saw just as we got to it ~ North Falls. Glittering the drops and glowing honey yellow on the conifers as we went through the cave she protected. The photo is completed unedited, her beauty just shines. We made it out of the forest right as it got dark ↟ . . There is so much old magic in this forest, the way the moss drips and takes over everything .. I could go on and on but ah it’s hard to explain. I tried to show some of its beauty on my story but it just doesn’t capture the power. It has been a long month of internal spring growth and experiences, ups and downs. I am so recharged and ready to channel my energy and get back to work!
