last books with romance I read:
scythe (read this month over 2 weeks), romance in several chapters (crushing, romantic tension)
(reread) HoA1: The lost hero (started last month, got halfway through), romance in basically all chapters (crushing, crushing, crushing, romantic tension, romantic relationship, romance, romantic plans)
Grishaverse1: shadow and bone (started last year, got three chapters in), major focus on romance in chapter 2 and overall much romantic feelings (crushing)
The house in the cerulean sea (read last summer over a month), few instances of implied romantic feelings and more (overt) romance at the end (romantic tension, romantic relationship)
last book without romance I read:
loveless (read last spring over 2 months), technically depicted romance but from an aroace perspective of deconstructing allonormativity/aroace erasure
before that it must've been before I took a break from books (reading comics or nothing instead). There's more romance, but not more no-romo.

Does anyone here have any aroace book recommendations?
hc's are fine. My only ask is that the story isn't a romance or like with a decent amount of romo and/or crushes (for example: RRverse books would be a bad suggestion)
I was trying to use the aspec list but several of the stories have a lot of romantic relationships, sexual fantasies, crushes etc. and the aroace characters were sometimes only side characters.
I hate when like food ads are like advertisements for heterosexuality. it's like, do I have to see this? I'm not the target demographics, let me opt out.
why can't all food ads just be. "the biggest love of my life is pizza".
