You can actually vote for this comical "politician." That shouldn't surprise me, because here in Denmark we also voted a comedian into Parliament.

Jacob Haugaard ran as an independent candidate but, in 1979, formed the satirical "Association of Consciously Work-Shy Elements." Through this "party," he became famous for absurd election promises—such as tailwinds on bicycle paths and bigger Christmas presents—and was surprisingly elected to the danish parliament in 1994.

Among other things, the entertainer promised Nutella in Danish soldiers' field rations—a promise that was actually fulfilled.

His defense policy focused on preparing the frigate *Jylland* for combat.
