anyway aroace sasuke makes so much sense and makes the relationship with naruto much more interesting, i have NO clue what happens in boruto but. i feel like him marrying sakura and having a kid can literally be explained as nothing more than not wanting the bloodline to end with him [which i can totally see shippuuden sasuke want to do tbh, in spite of how much he insists on making the uchihas rebuilt or whatever was the word he uses, he clearly means restoring the clan's name to former glory without itachi's /shameful betrayal/ written into it otherwise he would probably have way more than just one (1) kid, seeing as sharingan is a defining uchiha trait and seems to be a dominant gene trait] genuinely cannot imagine sasuke enjoying anything romantic, he shows absolutely zero attraction towards anyone, ever.
which, sure, while he's not anywhere near the only character to do so, potentially implying that kishi just doesn't really care about writing romance, but:
1. future romantic pairings are at least somewhat hinted at from the male character's side as well [ex. shikamaru thinking about his mother while fighting temari, (cant blame him tbh) speaking of. terrible choice bbg you deserve so much better let's kill your shitty husband together and run away #shikamaruhate] [tbh sai is an interesting nuance option here but i feel like i can rant about why i actually really like him and ino together another time, he's clearly enjoying himself tho]
2. we are not fucking talking about other characters [anymore]
3. there are. SO many women who are into him, yet he never expresses any interest with them
4. which is why sns is such a popular ship however. it has one small caveat. can you see it
5. naruto does literally everything in this relationship. he's the one unwilling to let go of sasuke, he's the one always chasing and trying to get closer while sasuke clearly needs. a fucking break, from life, rather than another person who would seemingly gladly throw their life away for him, and also someone who can truly see him for who he is [a true friend] which naruto can totally do, but then that image gets clouded by the turmoil within sasuke which naruto can't stand seeing leading to an insanely unhealthy attachment/true love or whatever, akin to sakura's, which sasuke never really asked for, and it probably, too, contributes to why he decides to leave konoha
all this isn't also to say that sasuke never cared about naruto or anything like that, quite the opposite; he really does value their friendship, as can be seen in the hidden mist arc and, of course, the finale, but it's clear that his affection towards naruto comes from an entirely different place than naruto's towards him. he literally views him as a friend. and then as a nuisance. and then as a friend again
