Probably due to trauma or things he's been through, everything in his life is just overly s3xulized a lot, ever since he was younger. So it just sort of stuck with. And whenever he regreses thes icky intrusive thoughts stay. While he's big, these thoughts are easier to understand as not true and push away. But as a smol, it gets overwhelming.

Especially when he might use things a lot of people think is just icky. (Like diaps or sleeping in a comfy animal crate.)

So it really helps when a big person, whether that's a caregiver/carer, babysitter, or even a regressor in a older mind than him atm. Tells him its okay to use a diap whenever he needs. Especially if he's much too small. Or if a smol octo wants to rest in a comfy crate to sleep, or just chew a chew toy in.
