The Fandom sometimes can be toxic, capable to destroys real stories, real mithology.
As in ancient Egypt, for example. Anubis(real name is Anpu) and Bastet was the mother of Anubis in some parts of the history of Egypt and the father was Ra or a dead king.
Everyone can ship whatever they want, we are free.
(this is just my opinion and the information)
But this fandom practically forget and destroy Anput, who is? The real wife of Anubis
But the Fandom change everything, everyone forgets that the true wife of Anubis is Anput and also everyone forget "Bes" or "Ptah" tis the husband of Bastet (but it's true that some parts of the mithology, she have different husbands, example Ra or other God but it was never Anubis but as I said "EVERYONE CAN SHIP WHATEVER they want, WE ARE FREE this is just information and my opinion)
And the only wife registered for Anubis is Anput.
Kebechet daugther of Anubis and Anput. When you read Kebechet's information, her mother is Anput.
Poor Anput and Bes. I know the people like the idea of CatxDog (I know Anpu or Anubis is a Jackal) but why the people forget the real history...

(Oh and the Egyptian Gods are not always married, Anubis in some parts of the story is "single" , Bastet is also "single" and other Gods and Goddesses, the history of the Egyptian Gods depends of the Pharaoh ruled or the priests, they can change the mithology)but as I said "EVERYONE CAN SHIP WHATEVER they want.
