Secondly, while that was my main illustration to end 2025, I still completed other lighter content on the side -- for the websiteβs growing Askbox Archive, and for revisiting artwork both old and new. Not enough for separate tumblrs posts, but just enough for aΒ belated end-of-year βodds and endsβ post with DEITIES-related stuff. More details under the cut /o/

[1-3] -- All of these were part of an OC Pairings MemeΒ that I originally shared on Bluesky, and then migrated to my OCΒ βFolio site in February 2025. I had... aha, multiple entires for the polyamorous chaos god, which certainly included SetNeph, but also required a quick doodle of SetYoko in their fox forms (my personal ship with my friend, @/littlescorpio.bsky.social)
As for the entry for polyculeΒ Set x Anat x Astarte: The 2nd artwork with Set and Astarte was refreshed from an older askbox entryΒ [archived], where I corrected her eye color to pink. Meanwhile, I wanted to doodle something quickly with just Set and Anat for that 3rd artwork.
[4] --Β Speaking of polycules and personal ships with friends... you know what Iβll just quote myself for this IndraNakiYamm entry from the OTP Post:
βThis is what happens when crack ships w/ friends turn into a fun throuple α( α )α Indra and Nakia (and companyβ) strongly oppose OG!Yamm in canon DEITIES, but in AUs? The three end up getting along quite well & form a healthy (and passionate) polycule.β
[5] -- I donβt think Iβve shared this image of Set in my [modified] Sonic-style here, have I...? Either way, I wanted to give it a try for him as a hound, for lack of a non-mythical animal counterpart to Sha. Iβm indecisive on whether his ears flop down or stand upright, though; I like both, but lean towards the latter for consistency's sake.
[6] --Β This is the sameΒ aimless Set sketches from a few years ago, but in preparation for Artfight I went back to restore more color saturation into the pic, and did the same for several other art pieces as well to make them more suitable as references.
Something Iβve often done with DEITIES art is desaturating colors slightly against a brown background so the darker colors are easier to discern. It's intentional, but it's led to confusion when others color-pick from the same art as if it's their base color, which is... not ideal π« Their full body refs are a safer bet, but hopefully this minimizes the issue a bit...!
[7] -- AΒ quick thing that I drew of Pakhet to practice / warm-up for my Artfight 2025 run. Itβs a completed version of an older sketch of her from a while back, here!Β
[8-9] --Β TL;DR my friends nudged me to design HK characters and I used the excuse to punt my existing characters into the world, with everyone all based on different types of insects (and one arachnid).
I ended up addingΒ a couple of deities for good measure, soΒ Serqet and SetΒ both haveΒ entries with details about their design and bug inspiration -- including the reasons why Setβs a red-colored version of the 2nd most painful insect sting on the planet, and otherΒ exciting fun facts \o/!!1!Β
[10] -- This artworkβs an oldie but a goodie that Iβm still quite fond of, but I needed to revisit it for both Set and Sobekβs appearance -- esp. in preparation for Artfight. Like the 6th image, I retouched this to restore their actual base colors, though I also cleaned up the lines and highlights to better suit my current style.

Do research on potentially dangerous animals in your area (what do they look like, where do they like to live, why are they potentially dangerous, etc.)
Make charms/other items for deceased loved ones especially protective ones or ones with her image and leave them on their gravesites (if possible) or on an ancestor altar
Learn about and uphold Ma'at
Make a playlist or listen to songs that remind you of her or you think she'd like
Make a collage/moodboard/pinterest board/similar collection of photos and images you associate with her, especially if some of the images are your own
Wear a piece of jewelry or other clothing item that reminds you of her
Light a candle or incense that reminds you of her (safely)
Carry a picture of her in your wallet, pocket, phone case, etc. or as a phone or computer wallpaper
Have scorpion imagery
Visit cemeteries; leave flowers at graves (with permission); or help clean up gravesites (if allowed)
Honor your ancestors/souls that have passed
Carry a protective charm with you, especially a scorpion themed one
Support humanitarian organizations especially those that help parents or children
Take care of a plant, animal, or other person
Show support for any parents in your life, especially new ones; help out when/if you can
Be kind to children; play with them if offered
Donate children and baby supplies to homeless shelters
Help out or mentor others, especially children
Destroy depictions of A/p/e/p this can be as simple as drawing it on a piece of paper and tearing it up
Allow yourself to mourn over difficult changes or the end of relationships; allow yourself to miss people
Support humanitarian organizations, especially funeral funding or suicide prevention ones
Learn about death; acquaint yourself with the idea of death; figure out what you believe happens after death

Serqet, Goddess of medicine and poison, is a very mysterious and quiet goddess whose presence is both frightening and reassuring at the same time, depending on the situation she is called to preside. Daughter of Neith and younger sister of Sobek, she is a loyal apprentice to Isis and a firm follower of Horus the Young, to whom she fell so madly in love she gifted him with her Seven Scorpions Guardians to watch over him wherever he goes.
Unfortunately, her love is one sided, but she doesn't seem to mind it, for as long as he is fine and, most importantly, he is taking his medicines!
