It's finally time! (way later than planned and almost a year since the last one!) but finally my next AU crossover ask event is here!

Reader saves old Sun and Moon. Biblically accurate designs from the fire and keeps them in her home.

The new separated Sun and Moon are built months later, more like androids and more human in design. Reader is called back to work, but now has to deal with four Sun and Moons to juggle (two at home and two that don't know the reader yet at work).

Reader is a badass. Biblically accurate Sun and Moon are also badass and definitely damaged and terrifying to any normal person.

Reader does a video call with new Sun and Moon while at home, and her old Moon peeks into the camera, causing the new sun and moon to scream bloody murder because "WTF IS THAT ITS EYES ARE RED IT HAS SHARP TEETH ITS MISSING HALF ITS FACE IS THAT THE OLD MOON EITH THE VIRUS THAT KILLED PEOPLE!?"

And Reader calmly tells them that her old Moon is just a big spooky metal baby. Cue the disbelief.

Biblically accurate Sun and Moon are horror based, damaged from the fire, and still have remnants of the virus. But the reader doesn't mind at all and adores them both all the same. The old Sun and Moon are frighteningly tall, but the new Sun and Moon are separated and short like the standard human would be. Naturally, the new sun and moon would be horrified to find the sweet reader housing the nightmare bots in her own home without worry.

Recently Separated

Sun and Moon recently got split into 2 separate animatronics, this was because the company realised that the stress the switch put on the daycare attendant was making things worse. They are also hoping for them to keep each other in check. We'll see how that goes.

However, Sun has never left the daycare before, because the only time he was allowed to roam the pizzaplex was as Moon at the end of every hour.

He's still a bit scared to leave, partly because 1: It used to be against the rules(!!!) and 2: The daycare is all he knows and it's honestly kinda scary.

So... Other animatronics have very likely only ever seen him from the outside, or heard of him from others.

Design Details

The hair is synthetic and the skin on the face is made out of silicone. You can peel it off along the lines of the moon to reveal the inner workings underneath.

While the skeleton is made out of metal and all, the casing is actually made out of sturdy plastic, so that kids can grab and climb on him without him being too cold or them hurting themselves. The plastic casing actually makes him a little lighter than other animatronics!

The finger tips, palms and lower arms (they're a slightly different shade, you can see it more clearly on Moon where it's dark blue) are sensitive to pressure and touch, so that they know when they might hurt a child by holding on too tightly. Thus Sun's touch is very gentle by default.

They removed Sun's pupils because they made him look kinda creepy in his older design honestly. The concept was cute and all, but it quickly became eerie and made kids cry when they stared into your soul. Instead his eyes may light up if he wishes them to, which benefits him somewhat in finding his way around. Despite that however, this has left Sun to struggle to see because his eyes are kinda foggy, he's unable to zoom and to scan things, especially in low light. He might have a hard time recognising faces, or even how old a kid might be. This factor adds to his stress-levels when he needs to look after a bunch of kids, and when they disappear into the play structures, he just sort of... gives up and begins crying because he won't find them again.

🌞 He/They/It pronouns (Freddy calls them "it" after all), but is quite alright with she/her, as well as if you wanna make up cute neo-pronouns for them. Bonus if they're sun-themed!

🌞 Is very sweet and gentle, but has gone slightly off the deep end from listening to the daycare theme for too long

🌞 Can animatronics have ADHD?

🌞 Has drank too much fizzy faz that their old voice box got messed up. Now he's rebuilt into a separate new animatronic, he's doing it all over again

🌞 Is actually constantly overstimulated and doesn't realise how much they could need a moment in the dark surrounded by silence

🌞 ... but can't, because when the lights go out and things go quiet, their PTSD sends them into a panic attack

🌞 Can robots have OCD?

🌞 They have OCD, triggered by the lack of control that comes with being a daycare attendant and being attached to Moon for so long. Having control and order soothes him, just as much as the lack of it makes him spiral.

🌞 While being attached to Moon, some traits and issues Moon had transferred over to Sun, so you might recognise some stuff at times

🌞 Loves loud music and noisy places, making noises like humming, singing, popping noises, and if he's feeling spicy, screaming. Sounds make him feel comforted because he relies on sound more than vision, and sounds also means that the kids are awake!

🌞 Will talk to you like a kindergarten teacher, as well as running the entirety of the conversation. He's just very excited guys, and he takes his job very seriously, it's hard to switch off!

🌞 Gets scared and ashamed very easily if you get stern with him, scold him or you're disappointed. He's not easily frightened by actual scary things though, this guy lives with Moon after all. It's more a fear or failure than a fear of you

Chapter 5:  What Lurks Beneath the Stormy Seas

Summary:

From an outside perspective, the sea would seem angry, raging a war upon the shores that no human or land dweller should even attempt to take part in. For you though, it’s nowhere near that daunting; though perhaps it is a bit annoying when you’re trying to stay in one spot.  The wild currents would normally be fun to swim in, taking little to no effort to zoom around the entire island you call home; almost sliding from one rush to the next as you keep an eye out for daring humans who decided to risk their life for thrills. You don’t care for how humans taste, and certainly don’t care to let them bloat and rot in your waters; so you work with your childhood friend to do your best to keep anyone from drowning–he from above the waters and you from below.  Which is what you would normally be doing if this storm would have been a normal naturally occurring storm and not one being used to disguise an enormous group of traveling pods of other Sirens and Mer. Your antennae flick as you pick up the calls from some of the migrating strangers; it is the season for searching for new mates and as the pod passes they welcome any guests to join them.

Chapter 4: The Calm Before the Storm

Summary:

With roles assigned and breakfast consumed–with no leftovers to be packed up, much to Sun’s dismay–the group breaks up to start up the day's tasks. Eugene whisks Moon away to start on his training, tour and inspections of the lighthouse and its equipment; while Sun’s plan is to start to clean up the kitchen and dishes before moving on to the rest of the house and further unpacking of their belongings.    The solar android did manage to delay Eugene from heading off so he could get his signature on the forms to release his medical records fully; allowing Sun to look over and become familiar with it all while he works. A true benefit of a computer mind, Sun hums to himself, allowing himself to split his focus without sacrificing any quality of his work.
