listen im not comfrotbale with like ‘pete is miles new dad’ shit bc miles already, has a perfectly fine pair of parents & there are other types of mentors besides fahter figures outhere, pete can be a mentor to miles WITHOUT replacing his dad (OR EVEN MILES’ UNCLE) and have a genuine place in his life without immedietely eclipsing miles’ parents. theres always sth insidious in fandom abt like replacing living parents of charas of color w/ white charas n thats something like we need to watch n be considerate of when we talk abt peter n miles’ relationship / bond . there are otherp lantic relationships that exist outside of immediate family bonds  n we should like. talk abt them more as a fandom
