I really wanted Helly to be more upset that Mark couldn't tell the difference. I have some tags on a post somewhere ranting but like I'm gonna put my thoughts in an actual post.
Helly genuinely seemed concerned that Mark couldn't tell the difference between her and Helena. Helly considers herself completely different from Helena which she is but also isn't. She said "in my body" in reference to Helena pretending to be her. Which again is debatable but Helly truly considers herself to be a separate person entirely from Helena.
So mark not noticing a difference between the two of them should have prompted a break up or a deeper conversation about how he didn't realize she wasn't herself. The whole "how can I know it's you" "you don't" should have been more about the fact that they don't know each other. In theory Mark is the one who was supposed to notice. He's the one who loves her.
But he doesn't notice that she's different. That she's quieter. That she's calmer. Shes more subdued. She saw a fucking night gardener.
And idk. Instead of wanting ✨her own memories✨ I think she should have dissected how the fresh hell this could have happened if he really loved her.
