Whump Prompt #121
Whumpee is in some sort of alternate reality where everything is either better or worse than reality. Do they want to leave? How did they get there? Do they know they are there? And how is Whumper involved.
One specific idea I have right now is that it’s an unhealthy coping mechanism the Whumpee has.
No matter what your opinion is on ships, characterization, and the deaths I think we can all agree Hawkeye was hot af during his protect the gautlet scene
I can never sympathize with the people against the vigilantes in these TV shows and movies. Like, in real life there are a lot of reasons why vigilantes should and are controlled by the law (Normally to protect the vigilantes themselves, actually) and it could be a touchy topic, but when it comes to fiction you have to work really hard to get me to side against the hero. Especially when the hero is BLATANTLY IN THE RIGHT.
Character who’s wrong: It’s using violence against violence!
Me: They’re saving lives.
Character who’s very wrong: You’re breaking the law!
Me: Lives. They’re saving people. Just last episode they stopped a gang from murdering a child. A child would be DEAD if they didn’t do what they do.
Character who’s super wrong: You’re just making things worse!
Me: Literally, they save at least one or two people from death an episode. They stopped the cops from killing the wrong suspect. They have superhuman skills and they’re using it to save people from being dead.
Character who’s annoyingly, gratingly wrong: How could you lie to me all this time?
Me: Because you’d try to stop them? From saving the lives for some reason?? Why the fuck do you THINK they lied to you, you selfish asshole???

You know what I think about?
What if instead of being simply dead, Len had been strewn across the Time stream? That’s plausible right? He died destroying the oculus, which is essentially time itself. So what if instead of just dying, he gets scattered across time so we keep seeing him? He keeps popping up when the Legends arrive to fix the latest aberration. But he’s our Len, not just someone from the past they dug up or from another version of Earth. And may he remembers them, maybe he doesn’t. It might work either way. I don’t know. But he wouldn’t be gone forever like he’s about to be.
Ot better yet, don’t kill him off at all. Why’d they do that? He was clearly one of the best characters on the show, and it’s just not the same without him. I mean, we still have Mick, whom I love, but I want them both. Why not actually kill Raymond? (Actually, I take that back, I like Ray.) Why not kill Rip? I mean, it’s his bloody mission in the first place, and he knows now that it’s too late to save his family. Why not have him sacrifice himself for the team. He’s pretty much off the show now anyway. Sara is captain of the Waverider. They could have kept Len and still had a member of the team sacrifice themselves to end the time masters! Why Snart? Why???
Sorry. I’m sure this has been talked to death, but I just now started watching. Ironically, the only reason I started watching was because of Arthur Darvill, but still, if I was going to have to lose him, at least let me keep Leonard Snart, just saying.
On one hand, I’m thrilled that they decided to release the promo pics earlier than they normally do (or until the day before, which has happened several times), but on the other hand....WHY WOULD YOU GET ME MORE EXCITED FOR NEXT THURSDAY?!?!?
