Honestly -- let’s revisit it a little bit just so we’re up to speed here because I need a refresher:

Basically, yes, they can go to the Empty:

COSMIC ENTITY Oh, yes. Excellent question. You see, before God and Amara, creation, destruction, Heaven, Hell, your precious little Earth, what was there?

BUT -- Lilith saying God got her is also weird because:

Therefore -- what gives?

Was it Billie who released Lilith to God? Was she willing to give up the gun, sacrificing it as a pawn? 

Did God make another Lilith or pull another one from a different AU?

I like the idea of them both being much older that was suggested earlier. But I also think it would be fun if Sam was a photographer, and the photo was an artistic experiment to make a picture appear to be old/vintage and it somehow ended up in Cas' research.

I am a little wary about making them both much older, just because I’m not confident I can write that well. As for Sam being the photographer... well, I had it in mind that the pictures would be very explicit so I’m not sure how that would work out 😂

Maybe dean is the professor and finds photos of a young Cas

I considered that, but Cas being the professor and Dean being the model feels a lot more natural to me. I can’t picture Cas being at all comfortable being a model lmao

What if instead of them being Dean, the pictures are of a ancestor of his? And he just looks *remarkably* similar? Like Cas finds the pictures, and then runs into someone he *swears* is the same man somehow?

Also another thing I considered, but the whole reason the concept appealed to me was the idea of Cas falling in lust at first sight and then being confronted with the reality of the person he’s been lusting after and how he’s both more complicated and more wonderful than any passive model in a picture. 

I think I’ve settled on the photos not being that old, and Cas coming across them during his research and deciding to keep them despite them being of no use. They’d both be middle-aged, then, with the photos being about 20 years old.
