Ammendment 1 (Abortion Clinics)
This is one of the Ammendments that is going to be voted on this week in Tennessee, but it’s horribly worded whether it’s voted yes or no. Basically, if you vote no, abortion clinics will not be regulated, meaning they won’t need to be licensed, and there will be no strict safety regulations. If you vote yes, then abortion clinics will receive uniform safety regulations, but it will also give the power to make late term abortions illegal, even if it’s in a life and death situation (which is usually the case of late term abortions). If you vote no, women can die due to lax safety precautions. If you vote no, women can die from fatal births that they are essentially forced to carry to term. I really hope that I'm misinterpreting the sides.
I am from North Carolina and I actually support gay marriage. Our entire state didn't vote no to Amendment 1, it was just a majority. Now everyone hates us.
Sarcaschicks video on gay marriage and Christianity. This video basically sums up my thoughts EXACTLY, and so I just felt the need to share it. Also:
"I mean Christians are fine - I love Christians. The non-crazy Christians are pretty much just like Hufflepuffs, but in the real world."
Being a Christian Hufflepuff gay rights supporter, this made me pretty happy.
Since the "sacredness" of marriage is obviously threatened by allowing gay couples to partake, I say there should be a law against divorce amongst straight couples. Enjoy your lives, you idiots.

Wow, isn't it just so nice that President Obama has come out in support of marriage equality after a crucial vote in a swing state? I do like and support Obama, but this is just disappointing. If Mr. President had been kind enough to directly say "I believe in marriage equality for couples of all genders and all combinations of genders," who knows how the vote would have turned out? Maybe the apathetic would have decided that this was worth it, that if their president thought it was a big enough issue to take a stance on, well then they would too. I am just so incredible disappointed right now, both in my state and my president. I am happy he has finally taken a solid stance in favor of marriage equality, and I truly hope that he gets reelected, but I just wish he had done it sooner. Maybe this disgusting amendment wouldn't have passed.
I am so ashamed to be a North Carolinian right now.
You should all stop hating on people in North Carolina
It's irritating the fuck out of me. You're all being so hypcritical, calling them 'narrow minded' and 'biggots'. You are the ones who are displaying the typical characteristics of those people by making a generalisable opinion. NOT EVERYONE IN NORTH CAROLINA WANTED THAT FUCKING AMMENDMENT PASSED. My girlfriend lives in N.C and she voted against it, obviously. There are gay people in that state you also voted against it, of course. So shut the fuck up and stop being so offensive, because it's people in the other states (who voted for the ammendment) that you want to be concerned about.
Your unnecesarry hate is upsetting people who live in North Carolina and wanted to get married there. Don't you think they're upset enough? Stop acting so darn naive.
p.s I don't give a flying monkeys crap if any of you unfollow me. I'm against the ammendment, duhh.
