Currently updating the directory!
If you are currently in our directory and have had a change in your URL, location, or “milso status” (e.g. we have you listed as a fiance but you are now a wife), please let us know so we can update your information! We’re more than happy to update display photos as well!
If you have changed your URL since being added to our directory, your link in our directory likely leads to a “dead end.” Let us know within one week what your new URL is so we can update your link. If you are in our directory with a URL currently leading to a dead end, you will be removed from the directory in one week (January 23, 2016). We will be removing “broken links” to make the directory more useful for followers searching through it. We are always able to re-add you in the case that you realize you didn’t update your URL within the time frame and got deleted!
To make a change, you can message us, send us an ask, or submit to us. If you’d like to be added to our directory, click here.
Happy Veterans Day!
Don’t forget about all the discounts and freebies offered to servicemembers today! A huge thank you to those who have served our country!

A little (err, long) update!
Good morning, everyone! My husband and I are finally home now, and I thought I'd share a little about our week with you!
Matt spent the last month at sea preparing for his upcoming deployment. We thought he would be returning on Tuesday, and I had plans to drive down to San Diego to reunite with him on Wednesday. He returned early on Monday, and I made the most impulsive decision I think I've ever made! I had a shift scheduled for Tuesday, and I curiously texted my coworkers Monday afternoon to ask if anyone would want to cover it. Almost instantly someone told me they would, and I literally squealed with excitement thinking I could leave a day early! I called one of my managers to let her know someone would be covering my shift, and she was so excited for me when I told her I got it covered because I wanted to try to surprise my husband! My original plan was to spend all of Monday cleaning so that our apartment and Matt's car would be perfectly clean for his return, but then I thought, "Well maybe a better surprise would be me showing up in San Diego tonight (Monday) instead of Tuesday or Wednesday..." So I quickly looked at hotel rates, booked one without even reading the reviews (something risky that I never do, ha), packed all of our things and our cats in only one hour, and started driving! Click here to read more about my long drive and how I got away with surprising Matt! His reaction was adorable. It was really only the second big surprise I've ever gotten away with in our 4.5-year relationship!
Matt and I both thought it was weird but also not weird that it suddenly didn't at all feel like we had just been apart with very little communication for a month. Matt said it was like we had just hit "pause." It was a funny feeling considering we had both been counting down the days 'til we'd see each other again, and then suddenly it felt like there was never a countdown.
On Thursday, Family & Friends Day was hosted aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (where Matt spent the last month). We woke up at 2:30am, boarded the carrier at 4:45am, and didn't get off until 6:30pm. It was a long day, and I had just gotten sick with a cold the night prior. Even though I felt very uncomfortable the whole day (hooray for porta-potties...), it was a day I'll always remember! We went out to sea, and Matt's strike fighter squadron performed an air show for us. It was the first time they've ever done that, and they did so well! I got to stand on the flight deck just 20-25 feet away from the jets that were taking off and landing. Matt plans to be a fighter pilot one day, so it was cool to get an up-close glimpse at what he’ll eventually be doing! Here (one, two, three) are some photos from our day. I'll probably be sharing some videos today over on my personal blog as well.
So there are some highlights from our week! It was a good one. We got home yesterday, and I am still very sick and Matt is sunburnt (he worked nights on the boat and Family Day was his first whole day in the sun, ha), so we are probably just going to relax all weekend!
