i have a lot of snippets of dialogue with amari and mario dating. i thought that they’d work well together because mario pushes amari to face herself. to him, she’s the strongest person in the world but needs to be reminded of it sometimes. he’ll take her love wether it hits him soft like a kiss, or a punch to the face.
so yeah, i was thinking about a teen couple navigating relationship stuff for the first time. specifically, i wanted to depict how the two of them might handle conflict. amari is insecure and so afraid to express herself that she’ll let the anxiety rips her apart from the inside.
here’s a few:
I would like to think that since Mario isn’t human, he doesn’t know what cigarettes are. He just thinks that people use them to look cool, so he like. Gets a hold of a pack
and Amari is about to give him a disapproving lecture until he rips the pack open and bites into one. Then, she’s just flabbergasted
