Love how you draw our favorite protag and you draw Sophia so soft which is correct hehe, don’t personally ship them see them more as close companions or even family but the art is very cute. I like the specific blue you used for Sophia’s hair.

and also don’t worry about it taking time to complete, it’s a souls like and there hard- and I speak from experience because this is my first souls like and I played my first run on the awakened puppet difficulty. So no sweat really, have a good day!!

Sophia is so beautiful that I totally fell in love with her at first sight lol. I really adore how she gently watches over and guides P, so I’d love to draw a more platonic, soft, wholesome kind of Sopino relationship.

P is handsome and cool too, of course, but his hairstyle is so unique that it’s incredibly hard to draw—I’m really struggling with it haha.

This is my first Souls like game as well, and I’d heard the rumors, but wow… it’s genuinely so hard I’m crying 😭. I’m probably playing on the “Awakened Puppet” difficulty too (that’s normal difficulty, right?), but isn’t even that insanely difficult!?

But I’m too stubborn to lower the difficulty (I’m playing on Normal).

Hi, sorry for the super late reply! I finally had a chance to reread a bit of Unbirthday, so here’s my answer.

I’m not Liz Braswell, so I don’t know the definitive answer, and feel free to consider this wrong…

Katz does say in the original story that “the Cheshire Cat is my other half.” However, even after the Cheshire Cat and Wonderland disappear, Katz continues to exist in the real world without any apparent issues.

Because of that, Katz seems to reconsider and think, “I guess I’m not really the same as them” and that “we are each unique beings in our own worlds.” That just adds to the confusion, right?

If they really were “other halves,” then when one disappears, the other should be left incomplete in some way—but Katz doesn’t seem to experience that. So it makes you wonder whether they are halves or separate individuals. Yet, it also doesn’t feel right to think that Katz and the Cheshire Cat have nothing to do with each other.

For me, the way I make sense of it is that Katz and the Cheshire Cat are originally one soul, manifesting in different forms in the dream world and the real world. Or maybe, you could think of it like the psychological concept of a persona.

This way, their “core soul” is one, so the Cheshire Cat and Katz can be separate individuals, halves, and the same person—all at once, satisfying all the seemingly contradictory conditions.

So, to answer your question based on this theory: you could say Alice married the cheshire cat human half, and you could also say she married the Cheshire Cat himself, and you could also say she married a different person entirely…
