Another painting for a school project, had a mental health meaning at first but as I went through it became more abstract in meaning that I just decided to let go of the meaning and just do whatever. Some of the references in the painting: Tokyo 2020 Paralympics poster by Hirohiko Araki AM Cassandre's artstyle Hawaii Part ii's album cover Tried to do a bit of Kurzgesagt's artstyle in the uncropped version but I wasnt able to copy the style and I got a bit irritated by some of the bugs in inkscape.

Cassandre presents the vinyl-record listening experience as Platonic ideal. Merely remove the lettering, and it would become a masterpiece of geometrical abstraction. But that's where the magic occurs: Cassandre "creates a surreal effect of light...cleverly writing the slogan around the disc so that the word 'electrique' falls into the most luminous part" (Brown/Reinhold, 112). Indeed, the entire composition is designed to pull the eye down, through both curves and diagonals, to the illuminated word – and then outward, to action. This was purposeful: Pathé's competitive advantage was in recording sound using the new electronic microphone, as opposed to the acoustical-mechanical method. An undoubted masterpiece.
