Look I love hurt/comfort and @iamlivinginsideyourwalls wanted this so here. This took way too long because of scheduling

You wake up in your cryo pod again. You groan softly and lay your head back, hoping this was a bad dream this time. After a few minutes, the computer throws you out into the bridge, and you collapse to the ground. You hear a familiar voice that you wished to never hear again. “Oh, you’re awak-Captain?” You look up at Mack, expecting an insult or lecture, but what you see is a concerned looking engineer. He forcefully pulls you up and drags you into the empty life support room. “Captain, what’s wrong?” You pull your hand away from him. “Tired.” Mack sighs. “Well, we have a little while until we land, so…talk to me.” That sounded more like a demand than anything. “I’m just tired.” He shakes his head. “Captain, tell me. Let me be nice for once.” You sigh. “I-I’m so tired…” He sits down and pulls you down with him, being surprisingly gentle. “Talk to me. I’ll listen.” You can’t hold back anymore, and you burst into tears. “I-I’m t-tired of b-being shoved into different universes. I-I keep being b-blamed for things, but I-I don’t know what I did! I d-don’t remember the last time I slept! I-I just want to go home!” You hug your knees to your chest and sob. Mack listens intently, not sure what you meant at times, but understanding you need comfort. “Captain, I’ll get the crew to make a makeshift bed for you in an extra room. I…I don’t show it, but I care about you. But-uh-don’t tell anyone I said that.” He blushes a deep crimson. You open your arms, silently asking for a hug. The engineer pulls you close and lovingly strokes your hair. “I’m here for you, captain.” You hold him tightly. Mack suddenly gets an idea. “…this might be a horrible time to ask, but, when you feel better…we could have dinner together? O-or just coffee or something. Whatever you want, really.” You kiss his cheek softly. “T-that sounds nice.” He pulls you a little closer. “I can’t wait.”

So, a couple of weeks ago I made a post about a Gray Ghost au. It is currently my most popular post.
Guess what, people? I ain’t done!! Because I’m writing a one shot for this bitch!
——————————————
The first hint that something was wrong was when Danny walked up to her, wringing his hands like he always did when he was nervous or scared.
“Valerie, I.... I, um, I need to talk to you. About something. Like, um, right now. Please?”
Hint #2: his voice was shaking. THAT was what made Valerie’s gut twist unpleasantly. In the years that Valerie has known Danny, in the six months that they’d been dating, she’d only ever heard his voice shake two times: once when Pariah Dark showed up, and once right after the CAT.
Valerie fought to put down her worry. Ever since the CAT a little under a month ago, Danny has been acting... strange was putting it lightly. More... jumpy, than was usual for him. Whenever he’d enter a room, his eyes would dart all over the place, as if he was looking for an exit. Any loud noise, any startling bang would have him jumping and trembling violently. He’d begun to avoid the Nasty Burger, constantly trying to talk her or his friends into going somewhere else to eat.
Most distressing, however, was Danny’s reaction whenever someone mentioned her... side job. Whenever someone mentioned Red Huntress, Amity Park’s up and coming professional ghost hunter (the Fentons did not count).
(Danny Phantom was a ghost, he definitely didn’t count.)
Because whenever someone mentioned Red Huntress, Danny got this wild, scared look in his eye (it was unnerving just how much Danny looked like Phantom, with that expression.). Whenever someone gushed about Red Huntress and how she fought off another ghost, Danny would start to shake , curling in on himself as if to shield from some unseen threat.
And the worst part, by far, was how he’d look at her, icy blue eyes wide and pleading and so, so scared. Scared of her. And she hated it, hated that he seemed to jump whenever she touched him, flinch away when she got near, and she didn’t know why.
“Sure, Danny. Are...” Valerie bit her lip.
“Are you ok, Danny? Is everything alright?” Danny stopped. Turned to look at her.
Valerie’s heart sank at his expression. Like he was bursting at the seams, desperately wanting to tell her something, yet terrified that she would hate him for telling (it was, unfortunately, a feeling she was very familiar with). His blue eyes seemed to search her soul, looking for something only he could see.
For some reason, Valerie hoped he didn’t find it.
“I.... I don’t know. I just, I need to talk to you. Alone.” There was something about the way he said it, it reminded Valerie of a judges gavel, sentencing a man to his death. (looking back at the moment, Valerie would shiver at the comparison, and the implications. If only she’d known...)
“Ok.” Valerie hesitated, concern bubbling up in her throat.
“Danny... does- does this have anything to do with the CAT? Did I- did something happen?”
There was a pregnant pause. Now, Valerie was the one searching, looking for any little telltale sign, any sort of hint, that would give away what the hell was going on. If there was anything at all.
But his icy eyes told her nothing she didn’t know already. She had seen the dark shadows in his eyes, yet couldn’t decipher what they hid. She saw the anxiety, the fear, but Valerie couldn’t figure out what it was that scared him so badly.
Valerie was so used to just being able to shot ectoblasts at threats, at the horrible ghosts that terrorized her town and school, and being able to chase them away. But she had no idea how to chase away whatever it was that was haunting her boyfriend.
It made her heart hurt.
“Just... just follow me, and- and I’ll try to, to explain everything but-. Just... I’ll explain everything. I promise.” Hint #3, and the final nail in the coffin: Danny never, EVER made promises he couldn’t keep. (As loathe as she was to admit it, the trait kind of reminded her of Phantom: it was one of his few redeeming qualities.) In the time she had known Danny, really truly knew him, she’d only ever seen him make a promise once: that he would help her and her dad however he could. And he’d made good on that: he’d helped her father get a good job back at Axion labs, putting her on better terms with the A-listers again. (Although, Valerie was still about bitter about the whole thing. She’d never realized just how shallow they were.)
Something was up. Danny was serious about this, really serious. Something bad was going on, and Valerie would be damned if she couldn’t figure out what.
So, with dread sinking it’s icy claws deep into her heart, Valerie followed the youngest Fenton to the back of the school.
Just a Hunter/Alkar drabble with my hunter Namir. Poly-ship & Omen mentioned. Enjoy?
Jealousy…
A deep rumbling growl, very nearly a purr, thrummed through the living room. Namir could feel the vibrations of it in his arms and his chest as he encircled the lithe muscular form he had draped himself over. He smiled gently against powerful shoulders, before bracing his lithe frame on his elbows; stretching upwards to press soft reverent kisses along the back of a neck, trailing to the crown of a head where he could breath in the scent of fresh rain and animal musk. Little words of praise fell from his lips, soft whispers meant for his beloved, who squirmed under him in pleasure at all the attention.
“Would you please fucking cut that out?” An irritated voice cut in from the kitchen area.
Namir immediately looked up from where he was lounging across Echo's back in front of the fireplace, his bright blue eyes finding Alkar standing at the small island with a half finished sandwich and an irritated scowl firmly in place. The Hunter and his feline companion had just come back from a fruitless search for a field boggart, a search that naturally had to occur on a day when it was raining buckets. Both Namir and the leopard were now toweled down (Namir also having stripped to just his harem pants and collar), blissfully drinking in the warmth of the blaze. He'd asked the half-lycan to join them of course but Alkar had brushed off the invitation.
It was something Namir had noticed was happening more frequently since the wolf had started living with them in the house he'd finally broken down and bought so he could leave those scratchy tavern sheets behind for good. And so he could stop having to sneak Alkar and Omen up to his room at the tavern like a dirty secret. He loved them both and the last thing the Hunter wanted was for the two amazing men in his life to think they were anything less to him than partners. Equals in every way including the right to come and go, or live side by side, as they wished. But now…
Alkar’s ears flicked irritably under Namir's narrowed gaze. “What?” he snapped, picking up his sandwich and coming over to sit on the couch to finish it.
Namir watched the wolf's gait intently, but kept his expression carefully pleasant in spite of his lovers attitude. If there was one thing Namir had learned over recent months with Alkar it was that the lycan was never cross without a reason no matter how out of left field his mood might seem to others. He was bothered, and heaven knew he'd never just come out and say why, so Namir decided to take it as the challenge it so clearly was. Alkar would, after deciding he really did love and trust him, present little challenges like this. He just wanted a little push back; a little reminder and yes maybe proof that Namir was wise to him.
“What-what?” He asked cheerfully, relaxing back down to lay draped over his big cat. It hardly escaped him that Alkar's shoulders tightened briefly as he did; that little wrinkle between his brows deepening. Oh he was glad to push. But he would damn well do it on his terms.
Alkar was hardly an idiot. He was being baited by his lover and that shit was SO not on. He snorted and took a bite of his sandwich, ignoring the playful question, his tail twitching beside him. He wasn’t going to give himself away this time. No way.
Oh but then didn't the Hunter just have to shrug, lithe muscles sliding under that cinnamon brown skin. His exposed ink giving the illusion that he too had glorious rosettes patterning him… part man, part animal. Namir never complained about his attitudes; just always outlasted them somehow and waited until he was ready… no. Waited until he needed to share. Alkar could feel his heart softening at the thought, crimson eyes turning less sullen. At least until he watched those elegant hands card their way through thick plush inky fur. Watched Namir return to placing sweet soppy kisses over Echo's broad head as the sound of purrs began to reverberate again.
Namir had to bite the inside of his mouth to keep from smiling as a loud growl came from the couch. He pretended not to notice, burying his face in Echo's pelt and shifting with her as she rolled to enjoy the warmth of the hearth belly first. “Such a beautiful girl.” He murmured, testing his theory a bit more and hearing the distinct sound of a sandwich being forcefully put down. He looked back over his shoulder to see Alkar glaring daggers at them with a hard frown on his scarred lips.
“Is there a problem with the food?” He asked kindly.
“No. I just found myself loosing my fucking appetite.” Was the wolf's annoyed reply.
Namir rolled himself so he was back to back with his cat, facing Alkar and propping himself up on one elbow, resting his head at a thoughtful angle. His black and white mane loose, like he only ever did here. At home. For them. “I see. That's troubling. Are you feeling ill?” he asked patiently. Watching as his lovers glaring turned into something a little softer.
“No, I'm not sick.” Alkar told him, honestly and a lot less sharply. He felt his face heat up as the young Hunter rewarded him with a languid smile. Something slow and just so damned pleased looking that it never failed to turn him into butter. Knowing that he inspired it, even for something as simple as adjusting his tone.
“Well that's good I suppose.” Namir said, cocking his head, little strands of white falling carelessly across his bright blue eyes. “Still, to loose your appetite so suddenly isn't a good thing. Sure you're not feeling a little green?”
The blush and stricken look that flashed over the wolf's handsome face was nothing short of adorable to Namir, but before Alkar could do more than sputter he added- “Around the gills I mean. C’mere,” he flashed a grin, patting the rug he was sprawling on. “Why don't you come warm me up some more? See if we can bring your appetite back?”
Alkar looked seriously tempted… for a moment. Then leaned back into the couch with a rough snort and folded his arms. “Nah. You look like you've got all the company you need.” He said, definitely NOT pouting as he jerked his chin towards the big cat lounging behind Namir. Echo (mostly oblivious to the trouble she had stirred up) simply yawned extravagantly and wriggled to lay on her back. Alkar was then treated to the sight of his Hunter’s eyebrows arching up towards his hairline as his own stomach plummeted. Shit. How did he do it?
Namir bit his full lower lip, just watching the look of ‘oh crap' steal across Alkar's handsome features as he was caught out. That the lycan could be so accepting with him and Omen together, or even on the few occasions that Finn decided to tease them, yet be utterly envious of his pet… it was pretty damned cute. A pretty damn cute problem he was going to nip in the bud right now. Namir didn’t tease him or call him out. He just slid to his feet, bare soles whispering over the wood and various colorful soft woven rugs, strolling over to the couch and never breaking contact with those ruby eyes. Not even as he straddled his lover's lap and settled his hands over those broad shoulders, rubbing at the sides of his neck as Alkar flushed darker and finally had to look away.
“Let me make this clear,” Namir began, softly, his voice warm like the fire behind him. Like the wolf under him.
“If I invite you over, it means I want you by my side. Company or no company. If I don't then you're to understand from here on out that you are fully welcome anyway. And lastly…”
Namir tilted his head and leaned sideways until he could recapture Alkar's eyes, seeing the little hint there still of fear. Like he was waiting for the condition to be placed, for Namir to tell him when he wouldn't be accepted. It was much fainter than before, and the young Hunter was determined to keep working until it never troubled his beloved's heart again. Not where he and Omen were concerned at least.
“Last, but not least. I will never not spoil my baby girl over there.” He informed Alkar as his tone slid into something deeper. “But if you ever want to be spoiled too you only have to ask.” Namir purred, his hands tangling in those brown locks, feeling for and finding fluffy pointed ears to massage them firmly. It earned him a groan and soft curse as two strong hands took hold of his hips, which he began to roll as he dipped in for a kiss. Something soft and tender, nose to nose and smiling at one another.
“I-huh. I thought that's what I did?” Alkar finally managed, growling and starting to rock in time, about two seconds from ripping off Namir's pants and his own. He was rewarded with a laugh. Something light and loving and so at odds with the passionate kiss that followed it; with the rocking and those clever hands roaming down over his throat, loosening his vest and shirt.
“Not quite. But thankfully I've learned to read you loud and clear.” Namir murmured, his breath playing over Alkar's face but still not breathless enough for the lycan who'd finally yanked at those pants to reach more of his cooler silken skin.
“You're adorable when you're jealous though, pup.” Namir added, before the wolf under him swiftly became the wolf over him with a wild growl and delicious little threats that they both knew Alkar wouldn't follow up on.
