Man, where to start with this? @goruck Prohibition Tough. A 12 hour endurance event that covered just over 20 miles spanning from Eden Park to the Lunken Airport. Easily the hardest thing I’ve put myself through since being on the Appalachian Trail with @xiaolin_warrior_santa a couple years back. So here’s the rundown: first, we started with 21, we finished with 21. @imxhannah put forth great effort, my guy @its_marknapier can always be counted on for a smile, @jenjarvi is the fairy godmother of Rucking, and Brad West is the BOSS. Second is a pic of getting the patch to@price I was there. Guy in the hood is Goruck’s event host, @cadrebelman , who was the epitome of the phrase “tough but fair”. Next up is los tres locos: me, Andy and @francisco.pascual.9469 these are the guys I did most of my training with, and the ones you locked eyed with during the slog to let them know “you got this”. Part of every event is a service component. For this event we did a little fundraising for @cadre_roony and we also collected diapers for @sweetcheeksdiaperscincy. Post-event, here’s me delivering the nappies to the great staff and volunteers. Funniest part of the day: So, funny story: I call Sweet Cheeks’ Warehouse and say: “Listen, I have a trunk load of diapers and I’m 10 minutes out... but just so you know, I’ve been outside hiking all night, I’m soaked, filthy, and I stink... but the diapers are fine.” Kris from Sweet Cheeks wasn’t fazed at all: “well we’re waiting for you!” LOL what an awesome bunch.
