Mondays are my leg days because leg days are my favorite. When motivation is low and I just having some Monday blues, a guaranteed way to get me fired up is leg day. Here's one of my favorite moves: # Single Leg Deadlifts( SL DL) # This is where I would recommend starting for SL DL. I'll show some progressions in the upcoming weeks. How to set it up: 1. Stand on one leg, rooting down firmly with your feet 2. Hands can be on hips to start to really feel that your hips are square. I like to envision headlights on my front hip points. You always want your headlights facing the same direction, right? 3. Slowly hinge forward at your hips, sending your non standing leg straight back. Think straight line from crown of head to hips to heels 4.lower until you feel a slight sensation in your standing leg hamstring OR as far as you can keeping the straight line from heels to hips to head 5. Squeeze the glute of your standing leg and return to stand Repeat. # I love this move because it's a total body move. The core is involved as well as the lower body and upper back. I incorporate it into my leg day to hit my hamstrings, glutes and outer hip muscles. #allaboutthebooty # Like these minutes videos?
