We all know and - let’s be honest - at some point likely made the eternal 40k player complaint of “this character/unit is so much stronger in the lore than on the table”, right? Well, I’ve been running a lot of Talons of the Emperor lately, and thus came to realise how hilarious of a reverse of it Aleya is.
Don’t get me wrong, she is a terrifyingly determined, magic-immune, anger-powered war machine with a giant relic sword, but her “final boss” opponent in the Watchers of the Throne was a single Minotaurs tactical marine, who made for a tense and tough fight.
Meanwhile on the tabletop anyone who runs terminators in any shape or form winces whenever she even breathes within 12’’ of them.

Aleya, the original Soul, was a descendent of the cast out star royals but she was also the girlfriend of one of Daffodils triplets, her sister Rose. She could control the night and everything that followed the moon and stars. She was the last in her magic bloodline, her whole family died by the time she was six. She was the fifth to die, right behind Rose.
Evening Star, the soul descendent, is a shy girl who’d rather live her life in the realm of books over the realm of people. She’s only brought out by her cousin Sky and her crush, Lylia. Being the only lesbian (that she knows of) takes a toll but she’s still very happy and welcoming to the new girl, Jenna. (Please boost this if you like it!)
