I don't have much for this one, just Danny and Jason being fandom mutuals. They met in the comments section of a fanfic one time and then kept bumping into each other. Comment sections, Tumblr posts, just found a great fic and the other one was the author. I feel like Jason tends to run more author circles and Danny is more of a fan artist than a writer. So maybe he makes fanart of Jason's fics every now and then.
I've seen a few other posts that have Jason write Batman fanfic; either he started before he became Robin and never stopped and/or he does it post-resurrection to piss Bruce off/vent his frustrations by putting the object of his ire in Situations™️. That is definitely something he does in this. Maybe that's how they meet, in the comments of one of Jason's Batman fics.
Anyways, they become close online friends and chat a lot through DMs. They withhold a lot of personal info at first but as they start to trust each other more and get closer they start sharing things about their lives. So when Danny is moving to Gotham for college he tells Jason and because Jason lives there, they decide to meet up irl. Shenanigans ensue.
This can honestly be any ship in my mind because there's nothing saying Danny and Jason have to be the same age so if you don't wanna ship him with Jason you can ship him with Dick and have Danny be older than Jason or with Tim/Duke/Damian/Cass/ect. by having Danny be a bit younger(however much required) and also having enough time have passed for whoever you're shipping him with to be of the right age to date a college aged Danny. You could even go for a non-batfam ship by having Danny meet one of Jason's(or a sibling's) friends(could be a speedster/super/anyone) and getting a crush on them and then Jason decides to help get them together like a real life Meet Cute Strangers-to-Lovers Slowburn Pining 200k Words fic.
