thinking about the severe lack of any fics about the fact you and brant literally watch someone he used to work with everyday get crushed to death right in front of your very eyes. was aldric a bad person? yes, but like, if you have a coworker/classmate you don’t like/don’t agree with, that doesn’t mean you’re going to be unaffected by seeing them die right in front of you. especially if you’re part of why they even ended up at the place they died (because if we never went looking for the treasure too, if we just kept the coin, went on a different adventure, he probably would have never found that other half of the coin)

Reference for Aldric. I tried to give him more rounded features to make him resemble his dad a bit.
Fun fact: Aldric is named for the Lupine word alden, meaning “first” or “old.” His mother Jade tells everyone that she chose this name because he was her first pup, when in reality she named him for the fact that he is King Thunder’s first son, regardless of whether or not the king chooses to acknowledge this.
Decided to take a break from environment stuff and make a character. This is Aldric. He's one of my intended romance options, should this visual novel ever go under way.
It was really hard not to just switch over to vector art, but I do think I can work with this. I may eventually just switch over to vector art for the lines. Does anyone think this kinda style would work fine for a visual novel? I'm trying to keep it cohesive with the art but I am pretty sure most visual novels I see use vector characters.
