But like. Meds would- if he could, try and push mortarion into the same Religious Dogma as him. Sees morty's fear of the warp- of PSYKERS and his hate of Neoth as something akin to a childish lack of understanding.
Mortarion would, much the same, actually kill to make Medraut realize their father is a TERRIBLE MAN- but also he wishes Meds would stop talking to Magnus, would leave the magic alone-
Part of him wishes he could get rid of Bravery- and maybe even Gwain.
Also they heavily disagree on the idea of having children because Medraut HATES the idea.
Doubts wise... Medraut is realizing Mortarion miiiight be trying to sway him away from his family and culture and Mortarion is slowly realizing Medraut is going to chose the emperor over him isn't he-

Meds would actually rather die than admit there is a problem. His whole issue is that he's doubled down too hard on denying his trauma.
You'd think Morty would be a black coffee guy. You would be wrong he's grabbing himself some terrible monstrosity with enough creamer and caramel to make his teeth hurt because if it DOESN'T hurt (and have enough expresso to make him think his heart is exploding) its not worth his time. Also because if he wanted something hot and bitter in his mouth he'd kiss Konrad.
He DOES often just drink black coffee though, but if hes spending MONEY on it he might as well. Also because Calas is used to the poison but somehow the caramel-creamer-milk-seven shot expresso nightmare drink STILL makes him gag.
Medraut is grabbing whatever is like. In season. He'll ask the barista for whatever they recommend because he just. Does not care to pick a regular order.
But also the idea of Medraut as a regular and Mortarion as the Barista that keeps having to enforce mask mandates during covid and WILL "spill" coffee on you if you piss him off is killing me.

7: if medraut had met anyone else first, Mortarion's distrust of Neoth woulda stopped their relationship- and if not that, then Medraut's lack of a backbone.

Russ. Russ is a TERRIBLE influence on Medraut because he encourages Medraut to be Less Of A Person, because Russ put the mask on to play barbarian king, but Medraut doesn't NEED a mask. But hes also the one that Gets the loyalty. Understands the awe of Neoth without getting too close.
And on the other end? Medraut pushes that mask on tighter. Russ let's loose- too loose, with him. Feeds on Medraut's mindless loyalty and violence. Tightens his own chain to match the dog. (You've all heard the fable about the dog and the wolf yea? Russ is the wolf that let the collar be put on) medraut also just. Sees through the mask. The line blurs and Russ is As He Was Before His Pack Died.

OKAY SO- not getting into specifics because theres. So many answers there.
Mortarion probably specs into hard hitters or high defense stats. Hes shockingly not into TYPE specs so much as he NEEDS to be ready for anything. The more types a mon is immune to, the better. "Oh hed be into poison types" YOU FOOLS NECARE HAD A POISON TYPE TEAM AND MORTARION SEEKS OUT POKEMON RESISTANT OR IMMUNE TO POISON.
Medraut is Doggies. The fact that those doggies cover a lot of types is a boon.
