The Warden

Yoo-hoo! Been playing Minecraft a bit as of late and had to draw the warden. They’re so damn cool. Running from monsters is the best part of any game, @ me later.
I interpreted them as a living suit of armor, only able to move by virtue of sculk corrupting them. I took a good bit of inspiration from Shovel Knight’s design when working with the warden! This was super fun, I’m stoked to use this design in the future.

One of them doesn’t like loud noises, the other doesn’t like bright lights, and the world hates them both—I think Herobrine and the Warden would be friends :]
Second pic includes Herobrine sticking his head in the Warden’s soul-chest-thingy bc who wouldn’t if given the opportunity. Red is probably Steve but I don’t have a set design for him yet so idk? And the screenshot in the third pic was provided by @liches-covered-in-lich after my dumb ass summoned a Warden and then just stood there with a map lol
Keeping Them Company
The Warden got into a bit of a dramatic scuffle. They’ll be alright—the sculk works as a hivemind, and they’ll get reformed soon enough. Herobrine wants to keep his friend company, though, until that happens.

This ask was placed before I did my warden stuff, so hopefully you already saw that, yes! I do still have Minecraft stuff. Though I don’t focus on it much with Elder Scrolls having taken over my brain, I do try and keep collecting inspiration for rewrites of my unfinished Minecraft series over on AO3 (it is. So old and so cringe).
The warden was actually a big boost to the third installment of the series! But, obviously, focus shifted again to TES soon after. Just what happens when you’ve got brainrot I suppose. Not sure when I’ll return to it in-full, but for now I’ll continue to do fun and ominous doodles of my guys that I feature in the MC stories.
