Just her in the room. And the cat.

"Ah, Kitty."

She couldn't yet face him, fumbling about to find alleviation for the injury. "I... hi..."

Hux quirked an eyebrow, a soft inquiry to his step. He reached to twist her forward. And he paused.

"Whose blood is that?"

"M-mine. It's mine..."

"Who did this to you?" In his attempt for concern, he only appeared more angry.

"Doesn't matter." She huffed through her nose, closing her eyes through another tinge of pain.

"I'll execute them myself! Tell me who it is!"

Kitty flinched at his tone, the possible specks of saliva thrown in her face. One thing after the other... maybe all those names were true. He waited.

"One of your officers... I told him that he doesn't give me orders. Then I was on the floor!"

"I see." His face fell with convincing sympathy. It wasn't in his repertoire, but he had learned many new things with Kitty. Closing the silence, he gripped her hand, hauling her down the corridor again.

"Hey-"

"We're going to the medic."

"No," she said without conscious effort.

"What do you mean, 'no'," he snapped in return. "Would you like to bleed out, then?"

A strain in her throat caused her eyes to water. His harsh remarks were only of worry... right? It was becoming a chore to keep her eyes open, much less follow his stride. In her head were aches much fuller than anything before, and white stars formed in her limited vision. She seized his closest wrist, the strain twisting onto her features.
