Maths is slowly becoming my favourite subject just because of how fun it is. The instant dopamine release of getting a question right occurs every few minutes, unlike humanities, where the dopamine comes every few hours you complete an essay. Met up with a friend to study and run errands. I know life never works out the way you plan but if the gods could bless me just this once and let me end up roommates with my friend in uni I'll ask for nothing else.

Flowers on my desk, because studying deserves romance too
Hi! Iβm Jasm, a first-year dental student whoβs struggling a bit (okayβ¦ a lot) π I decided to open this study blog to hopefully motivate myself and stay consistent. Weβll see how it goes.
about my studies
first year dental is very foundation-based and science-heavy. Itβs the bachelor phase, so no clinical work yet, just building the base for next years.
The first year is structured around three main moduls sfo β fundamental sciences smb β basic medical sciences sms β medical & social sciences
Which means a lot of biology, chemistry, anatomy, histology, physiology, and theory in general.
During first year, dental students have the same classes as medical students. The whole year leads up to three final exams, all at the end of the year, in may. no midterms, no second chances.
Thereβs also a ranking system. Even if you pass the exams, only the top 29 students are allowed to move on to second year dental.
so technically, you can pass⦠and still not pass.
This is a side blog, so all interactions I make will be linked to my main blog. If youβre a fellow student, welcome. Letβs survive together π€
