Derian

Has practiced to be in the Elven Army since he was a young boy and has honed his body into a formidable machine; it’s how Shae became such an accomplished warrior.

Past!Derian has his hair down to just over his shoulder blades (though some of it is kept in a braid). Future!Derian cut it because it reminded him too much of what used to be.

Loves to go on various hunts with the hunting party. His hound, Ceryn, is always by his side and makes quite an impressive sight.

Past!Derian is a bit of an ass— sarcasm and bluntness common with him— but it’s clear he cares and makes sure he never steps too far (depending on the person).

Has three scars across his rib cage from a bear attack that happened during a hunting excursion; he took the blow for one of his men and then killed the bear.

Aerilyn

Shaerian has been her best friend ever since they met when they were little. The first tutoring session saw fit that they’d be together for life.

Has a younger brother, Aeson, that she constantly has to watch because he doesn’t have one self preserving bone in his body; especially when it comes to his reputation. She adores him though.

Was training to be a diplomat, actually becoming a Head Advisor to Shae, before everything went to hell.

Tends to use dual daggers instead of a sword, but what she truly prefers is her trusty bow that her father made for her when she became of age. It’s something she has forever cherished.

While she can be serious, quite a bit actually, Aerilyn does know when to loosen up and she can actually be quite fun when that happens.

Yivea

Was raised in a border town within Alyera but then her village got raided and her family was killed. When she was twelve she moved to the capital as a ward and began to train to be a Guard.

She quickly got close to Derian, which was surprising to some, because her silver tongue and renowned temper was able to play off his general laidback nature. She also admired his combat prowess.

Has scars dotted on her body from various fights she’s been in— from beasts to man— and she wears them proudly. Even if some of them were from losses; she just made sure she never lost in the same way again.

Despite her unassuming appearance— electric blue eyes and golden blond hair— Yivea is one of the most dangerous warriors within the Elven Army. Someone that shouldn’t ever be messed with unless you want to fight her.

Relationship to their siblings?

Shaerian: They were very close to their older brother. As thick as thieves; never doing anything without the other when they were younger. Shae always knew that Derian was someone they could count on.

Derian: Adores his younger sibling with absolutely everything in him. Has sworn to protect them ever since he first held them in his arms; it’s why he trained so hard to become the General of the Royal Army. He’d do anything for Shae.

Aerilyn: She adores her younger brother, but hates how much of a flirt he is. Especially with his station within the army and his constant ability to embarrass her. Whacking him over the head is usually her go to move.

Yivea: Both her siblings are dead. She wasn’t that close to them when it happened, but she misses them all the same.

Relationship to their parents?

Shaerian: They’re very close to both his father and step-mother. Although they’re closer to their stepmother over their father, but they love them both equally.

Derian: Cares for them both a great deal— even if he misses his mother— but he couldn’t ask for a better step-mother. He’s closer with his father, but he adores sitting down for tea with his mother.

Aerilyn: Adores her father a great deal, but is almost hostile with her mother. As her mother wanted her to become a diplomat and not a soldier— like her father. It’s caused their relationship to disintegrate, but Aerilyn still loves her.

Yivea: They’re dead too. She was closer with them than her siblings, but she’s always been one to stick to herself more often than not.
