I think Umbra has overcome the worst of it! Shocked, honestly. I really am. I was sure she would just continue to get worse. She looks pretty much normal today, and there was a ton of new fecal matter. I've given her more of the raspberry leaves, and we'll see if she eats any hay today. I'd like to see her at least eat some of that. I don't want to introduce pellets again too soon.
My only theory is that maybe she ingested some moldy hay? Some of the bales we get are a little questionable (usually the 1st cutting, which I don't normally feed to the rabbits anyway - they get the good stuff). You see one every now and then that looks like it got wet, with discolored spots. We usually toss these in the compost pile WHEN we see them.
Anyway, I'm glad to see her looking brighter today. I hope she continues to improve. Maybe I won't be so tempted to keep another silver fox buck, now. Ha.
He's very nervous and they'll beat you up if you hurt his feelings.
I think Umbra would definitely shift how Needle approaches her warframes. The dream caused her to kind of take it as a roleplay, a projection of her idealised selves. The 'who she wants to be' that Lotus told her to dream of.
After what happened with Umbra, it's not a roleplay anymore. It's not about who she wants to be, but what others need her to be, particularly the warframes. The others might not need her the way Umbra needed her, but it opens her up from using exclusively fem warframes because it's her responsibility to ensure that any pain, present or otherwise, is healed and accepted.
Basically the child soldier is being ripped from one of her last few shreds of childish innocence :)
