#admin position

Over the past few months, we’ve been trying to deal with an incredible increase of followers and fans on our blog, AUideas. It’s been amazing interacting with you all for the past couple of years and we can’t wait to continue doing so, but the influx of fellow writers has also led to an influx of requests. At the moment, we have exactly 417 asks in our inbox, almost all of which are AU requests - the involvement on this blog is amazing, and we can’t thank you all enough, but we’re both kind of drowning in the amount of involvement you’re giving us (we practically have involvement coming out of our ears at this point). So, we’ve decided to take on a few assistants to help us write AUs!

Calling all writers & fans of AUideas! We’d like to take on two to three Assistant Admins (“AA” for short) who will help us write AUs so we can aim to release 5 AU lists on AU Fridays and perhaps 2 AUs on our normal weekdays. This is more than double what we produce now; we need to do so as the blog itself has grown to an incredible size (13,583 of you!). 

Keep in mind, however, that the position itself will not be full-blown admin status. As an Admin Assistant, we’ll ask you to create two original AUs plus one AU list each week by putting them in our drafts - you will of course be credited in each post you create, but the Admins reserve the right to changing an AU or fixing grammar mistakes before posting (in addition, we ask that you don’t post an AU before getting the permission of one of the Admins). The only difference between the Admin position and the Assistant Admin position is that you won’t have Admin Privileges on the blog and will act as a Member (click here to learn about Admin Privileges).

We don’t have very many requirements if you’re looking to become involved in the application process: all we ask is that you are consistent, dedicated, accessible, over the age of 17, a fluent English speaker, and most of all, a huge fan of writing with an enormous amount of ideas to share. I totally understand not having much time, college really sucks it out of you! It’s why this blog goes dead for so long all the time ;w;

Admins would be required to chip in with the upkeep of this blog. Fulfilling a certain number of the requests that come in, interacting with readers and partaking in any events we might hold.  Luckily we don’t usually take too many requests at a time and I’m super understanding of lacking motivation and a lack of free time! We’re pretty chill here ;-)

This time last year, I had 30 followers. It was a lot more manageable then.  Now, at over 6500 followers, it’s getting a little harder for just me to handle on my own along with work, study and family commitments, not to mention that I would like time to focus on my own writing. It’s a pretty great problem to have, and I am very proud of the blog’s growth, but especially with the amount of fills I am now getting ,I may need a bit of help.

Experience running a tumblr blog with at least 100 followers and sound knowledge of tumblr’s features (Including scheduling/queueing)

Hi everyone! Sadly, it has come to my attention that we are down to 0/3 reliable admins, myself included. As a result, I have decided to release an application to hire a new admin.  Preferably, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t operate solely on mobile, as tagging is a thing that is quite prudent on this blog.  We’re looking to hire one admin, but I will consider more depending on the individual applications.
