My medication prescriber informed that me you can request an ADHD script any time after your last purchase. That means the day after you pick it up, you can send your doctor another request and they will (generally speaking) immediately put in the next order.
Now, this does NOT mean your script will be filled. It means the pharmacy will hold the script until it triggers again, therefore you don't have to wait until the day you need it to call and beg for a rush order. I'm told this works for most medications, and so far it's worked for every one of mine.
It's worth calling your prescriber and asking if they're able to do this. My understanding is they actually LIKE this method because they don't get a barrage of panicked calls at 5pm on a Friday.
If anyone else uses this method (or has tried and failed), please let me know!! It's taken SO much stress out of medication refills for me, and I had no idea it was possible!

SOMETHING TO HELP ADHD-ERS STAY SOMEWHAT ORGANIZED: LABEL. EVERYTHING.
DISCLAIMER of course this won't help everyone, but this has genuinely helped me so much and I thing it's worth trying out if you're a disorganized creative fool like myself
My mind trying to be organized is like trying to herd cats, so I started to label stuff. Initially I was just doing this with my Magic the Gathering collection as I sorted them cards into boxes, but then I realized I could actually recognize what I needed/what I needed to put into each box without always needing to read the labels (To neurotypical fuckers this sounds stupid but you're blessed and neurotypical so suck my toes; thou dost not knoweth how vexing life can be with ADHD).
So now I'm in the process of labelling every box, every drawer, every thing that I put other things into wherein those things I place will vanish out of sight and therefore out of mind and therefore out of sheer existence. Behold just a few examples:
I particularly enjoy the sewing needle being held for ransom on my whiteboard.
WHY DOES THIS HELP: If I label a drawer/box/container, that is where that thing belongs; now my brain registers that this THING I have, whether it's a paint tube, a lone hostage sewing needle, a tablet stylus, I know where it is because I know where its home is because I FREAKING LABELLED IT SO IT HAS TO BE THERE AND IT MUST RETURN THERE.
I'm sure other ADHD homies have this phenomenon where we'll be using something and then, when we're done with it, we don't remember putting it down and then we suddenly have no clue where it is. This is especially prevalent with art supplies for me, and I have tons of random crap including papers/painting pads/inks/paint tubes/dip pens/etc, but the worst offender for me is sandpaper. I always lose it. It's such a skinny boy but I can never find it ever
But then I labelled a box and decided I'll put any sandpaper I find in there and GUESS WHAT
My cup runneth over. So much sandpaper. I can sand all the things and not get exasperated and frustrated that I can't keep my shit organized despite having those dumb little drawer organizers.
It sounds so simple, but it has deadass calmed the ants in my brain so much just by doing this. It feels so GOOD to just KNOW WHERE THINGS ARE.
I hope this helps some people who feel overwhelmed and anxious by their workspace/surroundings!! We can totally stay organized, it just takes a bit of a tape and marker
i cant tell if this a dopamine dysregulation-specific thing, but yknow that moment after having a snack or getting a cool idea or anything else you were enjoying where the excitement fades and you get a little taste of that "nothing is worth doing, the world has no whimsy or joy and what even is there to look forward to now" mood? but you also know you arent depressed, you dont have that, so what the hell is going on?
yeah i have the theory that its just your brain noticing that the Quick Dopamine stopped coming in and you dont have any Slow Dopamine to land on. This is taking from a post from a bit ago (who i cant remember OP's url) which talked about Slow Dopamine from things like a creative project. the post itself was about OP's therapist saying to write more fanfic i think, but anything really counts i think. hell reading probably counts too.
But also that choice to reach for Slow Dopamine instead is not comfy, and creative projects can be hard to start too if you dont think youre good enough, or arent used to thinking about what you want to create, or why it matters to you, or how to keep up with it. good news: trying will only make you better at it, and there is no such thing as 'cheating' when it comes to motivation.

I saw on tiktok a video of a girl explaining that most of your executive dysfunction happens when you're horizontal and just focusing on getting vertical first can help you get the motivation to do other things.
Then you can focus on doing little things at a time and making small progress.
I tried it out and was able to clean out my old backpacks (found fresh fruit gummies in one which was such a score!)
My room is still filthy but at least I have clean backpacks now. If I keep doing this little by little I'll probably make great progress.
