had the question in my head
Deaf/HOH (i.e has hearing loss/deaf gain) do you think that hearing people with auditory processing disorder can use the term "hearing fatigue"
Deaf/HOH: yes, they can use the term
Deaf/HOH: I am indifferent on their use of the term
Deaf/HOH: no, I don't think they should use the term
hearing APD: I would like to use the term
hearing APD: I have never heard this term/don't know what it means
hearing APD: I don't have an opinion
hearing APD: I don't want to use the term/don't think I should
Nuance (share in tags/comments?)
hearing non-APD: I'm curious and want a button
for those who have never heard the term before: hearing fatigue refers to the exhaustion that deaf and hard of hearing people experience when hearing for extended periods of time. hearing fatigue makes it harder to understand sound and can make it feel physically painful to try to understand speech.
