(OMEGA VERSE EXPLINATION!) Oh gosh, explicit language warning lol…this is going to be a long one and slight a dosie but here we go!! Omegaverse, the whole verse is based off of wolves and their mating rituals and sexual orientations, but just… humans! Humans have normal genders like girl and boy and so on but with this a secondary gender is also added on. There are atleast four second genders-Enigma, Alpha, beta, and omega. I dont know anything about enigma though, and alot of people choose not to write it into their omegaverse fics so its not important enough for me to explain it for you but, alpha beta and omega are the main three youll find in every omegaverse fic! First, alphas, are very dominant and protective, they also go through something called a rut (lasts a week)which is basically going through a heat but instead of the want to be bred or have kids they want to breed and give kids; alphas usually mate with omegas(sometimes betas) but other options are possible(it would be considered gay though); alphas also have penises no matter their primary gender(im pretty sure atleast) along with a ‘knot’ at the base of it, which swells up when ejaculating. Next, betas- betas are just regular humans atp they dont go through any special sexual period like the rest, and they can mate with any other gender. Last though, omegas, are usually very submissive and, omegas are who carry children in this universe, regardless of primary gender like male or female; omegas also go through heat(lasts a week), which cannot be satiated without an alphas knot( meaning, an omega cant be gay with another omega and get complete sexual fulfilment during heat) but!! Being gay is still an option for them, there are sex toys that imitate a knot or they can just choose to not get knotted. Along with omegaverse comes another type of social hierarchy and ‘scents’! The social hierarchy of this verse places alphas at top, betas in the middle and omegas at the bottom; omegas are treated much like how women are treated irl, and alphas, like men. Scents are a very big part of omegaverse too, each person has a unique scent much like a fingerprint for themselves! And their scent, also attracts mates, during heats and ruts their scents become suppppper strong to make sure they get a mate during this time.
