I received several awesome things from Japan and then several more awesome things from China.

Bigger picture of the pixel art badges. Ironically I had to import these badges from China because I could not find them for love nor money in Japan. The Gavinners' badge may well be the first piece of official merchandise featuring Daryan ever, if you exclude art books which contain every character in the game.

Plush keyring Klavier is beyond adorable!

He fits on one of the outer keyring straps on the plush-carrying rucksack that I bought in January. This thing cost £15 from China, is as strong as any other rucksack I've bought, and has a number of hidden pockets. The transparent pocket on the front can hold plushies up to 2 x 20cm babies. (There is a zip cover for the transparent pocket to prevent it from getting scuffed in transit.)

Of course, I can't leave him on the outside in the UK where it rains 90% of the time, but it should be okay when travelling.

He also has a magnet in ONE (but only one) foot. I don't know why!

A prim and proper demeanor usually stayed plastered on Sumie’s face just like the makeup she applied. Throughout her entire life she altered herself in order to fit the molds not made for her. To assimilate into a culture not her own. To hold a man’s favor when perhaps it would be served to leave. Now she had her children to fight for. They were an extension of herself, what use could they be if they were isolated, not fitting in?

Kisumi did such a good job, why couldn’t he just continue? It was merely a phase. Her husband swore it was her doing, her babying, allowing him to indulge in his whimsy far too often. Now he had caught the eye this powerful man. Hadn’t he had his fun? Couldn’t he just let Kisumi be? 

A quiet ink wash landscape inspired by traditional Jiangnan scenery — mist drifting across still water, distant mountains fading into empty space, and a solitary pavilion resting beneath an ancient pine. The soft monochrome brushwork creates a calm meditative atmosphere shaped by silence, reflection, and classic Chinese shanshui aesthetics.

Mist-covered mountains, quiet waterfalls, and solitary pavilions drifting through layers of ink and empty space. These monochrome shanshui landscapes are inspired by traditional Chinese ink wash painting, balancing dramatic cliff forms with calm reflective water and minimalist zen atmosphere.
